From July 26-28, Houston Rockets All-Star James Harden and New Orleans Pelicans starting guard Eric Gordon will visit the Philippines to headline the NBA 3X event that will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Harden’s visit of Manila in July will be his first of two for the year, with the other one being in October when the
Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers play in a preseason matchup as part of the 2013 NBA Global Games.

In September, Chicago Bulls
superstar and former NBA MVP Derrick Rose will make his return to Manila to promote the latest shoe, the D Rose 773. Rose, who visited Manila last July 2011, will be in Manila from September 14-16 and will be a major part of the three-day fiasco.

Celtics in trade talks to send Doc Rivers, Kevin Garnett to Clippers

The Boston Celtics are deep in discussions with the Los Angeles Clippers on a blockbuster deal to send coach Doc Rivers and Kevin Garnett to Los Angeles, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The final hurdle of a deal centers on the Clippers' willingness to include guard Eric Bledsoe into a trade package with Boston, sources said.

Boston and Los Angeles are discussing a package that will send DeAndre Jordan and a first-round pick to the Celtics for Garnett and the right to hire Rivers as coach, sources said.

Garnett will waive his no-trade clause to go to the Clippers, where he'll be reunited with Rivers. Celtics assistant Ty Lue also will likely join them in Los Angeles, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Talks between Celtics and Clippers have died down because the Clippers are not willing to include Eric Bledsoe in any kind of deal for Garnett.

If the Clippers are not sure if Chris Paul will leave as a free agent, then they really should hold onto Eric Bledsoe. While Garnett is a future Hall of Famer, the Clippers should just work on improving with their young core instead: Griffin, Jordan, Bledsoe, etc.
