Di ko alam kung meron nang ganiton thread dito. Tinry ko lang po magstart. Sana po masuportahan nio ako. Gusto ko po malaman kung sino ang mga readers dito tsaka anong genre yung book na binabasa nila:
simulan ko na.

Favorite ko yung Catcher in the Rye in J.D Salinger.

di ko lang alam kung bakit yun nag-inspire ng mga assassins. Quite normal book naman for me.

on JD Salinger's Catcher In The Rye....

in my observation there are three types of readers of this book

adolescent, kapag teen ager ka, you'ld feel the main character Holden Caufield is somewhat like a hero...someone who has survived the disillusionment of his childhood from a problematic disfunctional and unnurtured scholastic background to a much complicated odyssey of mid life issues in New York City.

adult- ....i can only say that Holden is a loser type of guy...it's quite disturbing how the author JD Salinger described his main character's social disappointments and depressive behaviour. Over all, though this literary piece broaden the people's insights about the hypocrisy of the American society during that era...

manic- depressive anti social reader..

now on this one...not all reader absorbs everything they read, but there are a few who does. And for those escpecially born during that era and felt they have to revolt during the 50's...they must have felt that there is something terribly wrong with the civilization during that time.

as for the question if this book is assassin triggered literature?

who would say this book really is a something like a readable devil's advocate to be an assassin? all reported hear says are all theories...but if those stories be true...well...

we determine who and what we are with what we do...we all have a choice it's all up to us..if we want to just read the book or we let what we read affect our own reality, ...it's just a book afterall...

....which was written by an author who sufferred from battle fatigue...but nevertheless, kahit pa na censored itong book na ito...it still is a good book to read...Salinger is an effective writer just like Hemingway...

nice thread TS! thanks for posting... :book1:

 :peace: :book1: :book1: :book1:

I'm not really a fan of reading now. Kaya medyo tinatamad magbasa. I was very young back when I read books.

Most of them were required in school. Lol! :D
