Ellen Adarna on Ejay Falcon’s courtship: It’s not the end yet
By Joyce Jimenez (philstar.com)

MANILA, Philippines – Ellen Adarna confirmed that Ejay Falcon has courted her, but they chose to focus first on their show “Pasion de Amor.”

The two were linked when they started doing the show in June 2015. And now the show is down to its last four weeks.

In a previous interview, Ejay admitted he wanted Ellen to be his girlfriend as he got to know her better but wouldn’t want to rush things between them.

It was also the same moment when Ellen recalled that “iyon kasi ‘yong nainis ako sa iyo, di ba?” she asked Ejay. “’Tas hindi kami nag-usap for some time, do’n sa second presscon. Pero okay na kami ngayon.”

Asked if after their small misunderstanding their courtship is over, Ellen replied, “Wait lang, it’s not the end yet.”

“May one month pa ang show, tignan natin ang mangyayari,” she added.

Arci Muñoz on showbiz success: Pana-panahon ‘yan
By Joyce Jimenez (philstar.com)

MANILA, Philippines —  Arci Muñoz said the "right timing" is crucial to success in show business.

The actress has been in the industry for a while, and now she was finally given a big break through the sixy TV show "Pasion de Amor," which will end this February.

"Para sa akin po kasi pana-panahon ‘yan talaga, e," she said during a recent interview. "Darating 'yong tamang oras na ibibigay sa 'yo. Si God talaga ang nag-decide. Ako kasi ang dami kong gusting gawin, pero sabi ni Lord, 'Para dyan ka."

"So tamang panahon lang talaga. Ngayon siguro talaga the stars are aligning for me," she added.

Arci has no regrets that she had to do a sixy role to give her career a little push. She was hesitant to do sixy roles since she came from a conservative family.

"Sabi ko nga po dati, I really have my limitation," she ssaid about doing a sixy role. "Depende po kasi talaga, e.  So I trust my directors, and sabi nga nila hindi naman talaga siya bastusin, e. Kung alam ko sa sarili ko na hindi ko kaya, then hindi ko siya talaga gagawin."

Aside from "Pasion de Amor," Arci is also busy doing final works for the film "Always be My Maybe," her first starring film with Gerald Anderson. It will hit cinemas on February 24.

Iya ready to be a mom

MANILA, Philippines – Iya Villania and husband Drew Arellano are heading to New Zealand this month for a triathlon event to be participated in by Drew, revealed the 24 Oras segment host for Chika Minute during the recently-held Watsons’ Switcher Surprise at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA).

“It’s a competition (and at the same time), Valentine’s and anniversary trip. So, it is three in one,” said Iya, who married Drew two years ago. This sojourn from their showbiz daily grind — Iya is also seen weeknights in the GMA primetime soap Because of You, while Drew hosts AHA! and Biyahe ni Drew weekends — could be the perfect rendezvous for the young couple to start their family.

“I’m entertaining (the thought of having) three (children) but I don’t want to have a middle child. So having two is just fine with me,” shared Iya, who originally wanted to have five bundles of joy. It’s clear that the Arellanos are considering this year as “baby-making season” and Iya is embracing motherhood.

You can sense it from her Instagram posts last year after finishing first in a triathlon tilt that Drew also took part of: “It really is amazing what your body can do when the mind wills it. Lord, thank you for the ability to use it. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the season! 1st place, baby!!! Congratulations once again to all the finishers! (Especially) my love Drew Arellano for being the ‘first loser’ (2nd place). I love you and can’t wait to start baby-making season.”

That’s why Iya has been taking folic acid since last year. “Looking back, I think all those training for triathlons and me getting in the best shape of my life (were) a way of preparing, strengthening and conditioning my body for what’s to come and getting pregnant.”

Speaking of getting in shape, Iya, aside from the triathlon events she has graced before like the Olympic distance triathlons of Tri United 1 and 2 and Tri United 3, felt that she has become more health-conscious since becoming Mrs. Drew Arellano. The TV host-actress has a specific fitness regimen she follows every day.

“I exercise more now because it’s much easier for me,” Iya said. “I could just bike at home and run around the area, dati yung bike iiwan ko pa kay Drew, kailangan pa ng pass para sa village na malapit, kapag gym ihahatid ka pa.” Iya’s workout routine is complemented with a healthy diet.

“I like to keep in shape but it’s not just because I want to look good or for aesthetics,” she said. “I work out so that I could enjoy eating. Kasi when my mom comes over, she brings a lot of Pinoy comfort food like kaldereta.”

Aside from her TV work, Iya is also busy gracing events like the Switcher Surprise promo of Watsons, one of her endorsements. The campaign encourages shoppers to be more practical with their purchases like its ambassadors Iya, Christian Bautista, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Patty Laurel Filart and Lorna Tolentino. They have to look for quality products with great prices.

“What I like about Watsons is, I get good quality (items) without having to pay more,” said Iya, whose favorite Watsons products are its foot ease because she wears heels most of the time, tissues, wet wipes and hand soap. “It’s like buying branded. We (Drew and I) live a very low-maintenance lifestyle. Thankfully, we don’t have to do grocery budgeting yet. But once we have kids, siyempre iba na yun.” Iya added that she and Drew know how to “splurge every now and then naman.”

At the said Switcher Surprise event, Iya and Lorna surprised shoppers, who bought “marked” items, with gifts. Among the winners were Angie Mendoza and couple Jennifer Ariesgado and Andrew Wray, who won P50,000 and a Samsung LED TV, respectively.

Esther Blanco got the reward of a Hong Kong travel package, while Julie Mamhot was the recipient of the Boracay trip.

Lastly, Loralyn Campos and Jayce Dualan won a shopping money worth P20,000 and a Technomarine watch, respectively.

Iya, who knows the value of well-earned money, was delighted to see these lucky shoppers go home with these rewards for shopping smartly.

Big 'Deadpool' debut annihilates 'Fifty Shades' record, more

LOS ANGELES — The R-rated "Deadpool" has taken the box office by storm, annihilating records with an eye-popping $135 million from its first three days in U.S. theaters, according to comScore estimates Sunday.

The Fox film, which stars Ryan Reynolds as the foul-mouthed superhero, easily trounced last year's record-setting $85.2 million February debut of the erotic drama "Fifty Shades of Grey." It also became the biggest R-rated opening ever, surpassing "The Matrix Reloaded," which opened to $91.8 million in May of 2003.

Analysts are predicting that the Tim Miller-directed film, which cost a mere $58 million to produce, could go on to make $150 million by the end of the holiday weekend. As recently as Thursday, "Deadpool" was expected to pull in only $80 million across the three days, but the Marvel comic, often a best-seller, proved its popular appeal and then some — and it didn't have to compromise with a PG-13 rating either.

"This movie is the very definition of an expectation-buster. Nobody saw this coming," said Paul Dergarabedian, comScore's senior media analyst. "It doesn't feel like a cookie-cutter superhero movie. It feels like something unique. You've got to sometimes take risks and go against conventional wisdom to come out a winner."

IMAX screens accounted for an estimated $16.8 million of "Deadpool's" total. The film, notably, was not released in 3D.

"Deadpool" also had a massive showing internationally, bringing in an estimated $125 million from 62 territories for a $260 million global total.

The debut is also a bit of a superhero redemption story for Reynolds whose costly "Green Lantern" adaptation disappointed audiences and at the box office in 2011.

Coming in a distant second was last weekend's No. 1 film "Kung Fu Panda 3" with $19.7 million, which fell only 7 percent. The DreamWorks Animation film has earned $93.9 million in just three weeks in theaters.

In third place, the R-rated Dakota Johnson and Rebel Wilson rom-com "How to Be Single" didn't make any big waves with its $18.8 million out of the gates. The Warner Bros. film cost $38 million to produce and provided some counter programming to the hyper violent "Deadpool."

The dismally reviewed Ben Stiller comedy "Zoolander 2," meanwhile, debuted in fourth place to only $15.7 million. The Paramount film, which Stiller directed, cost around $50 million to make. The first film, "Zoolander," opened in 2001, just weeks after the Sept. 11 attacks, to a meek $15.5 million and went on to gross only $45.2 million in North America. It found a second life on home video, though and has become a quotable cultural staple. Audiences seem less enthusiastic this time around, though.

Dergarabedian thinks that both "How to Be Single" and "Zoolander 2" could see a healthy uptick from the Valentine's Day crowd Sunday.

But overall, the box office is healthy, up an estimated 3.2 percent from last year and it's all thanks to the snarky, fourth-wall-busting "Deadpool" and its historic debut.

"These are summer numbers," Dergarabedian said. "It's summer in February."

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to comScore:

1."Deadpool," $135 million ($125 million international).

2."Kung Fu Panda 3," $19.7 million ($14.6 million international).

3."How to Be Single," $18.8 million ($8.1 million international).

4."Zoolander 2," $15.7 million ($8.5 million international).

5."The Revenant," $6.9 million ($14 million international).

6."Hail, Caesar!," $6.6 million.

7."Star Wars: The Force Awakens," $6.2 million ($4.3 million international).

8."The Choice," $5.3 million ($600,000 international).

9."Ride Along 2," $4.1 million ($1.5 million international).

10."The Boy," $2.9 million ($1.3 million international).

___

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at international theaters (excluding the U.S. and Canada), according to comScore:

1. "Deadpool," $125 million.

2. "Mei Ren Yu (The Mermaid)," $109 million.

3. "The Monkey King 2," $38 million.

4. "From Vegas to Macau III," $36 million.

5. "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip," $15.3 million.

6. "Kung Fu Panda 3," $14.6 million.

7. "The Revenant," $14 million.

8. "A Violent Prosecutor," $11 million.

9. "Zoolander 2," $8.5 million.

10. "How to Be Single," $8.1 million.

Nyoy Volante ties the knot with Mikkie Bradshaw

MANILA, Philippines – Nyoy Volante has finally found his forever with theater actress Mikkie Bradshaw.

The two tied the knot on Friday at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila. It was attended by their family and friends, which include some showbiz personalities like Karla Estrada, Vina Morales and Freddie Webb.

On the video posted by Nice Print Photography on their YouTube page, the two answered the presiding priest when they were asked why they have chosen each other.

“Sense of humor,” replied Mikkie when asked what she liked about Nyoy. “I need a man who makes me laugh my whole life.”

Nyoy, on the other hand, said he has found his “forever” with Mikkie.

“Noong nakita ko si Mikkie, naramdaman ko kaagad na naiintindihan niya ako, tapos she's kind... tugma talaga lahat,” he explained.

“Kahit sobrang contrast naming dalawa, the way that we approach this, iisa lang ang pakay namin - to be together. 'Yon ang kailangan ko talaga, to have a partner hanggang sa pagtanda ko,” he added.

Martin Nievera says he will never leave 'ASAP'
By Joyce Jimenez (philstar.com)

MANILA, Philippines – Martin Nievera sees the ABS-CBN Sunday noontime show “ASAP” as a big part of his life, not only of his career.

“I will never leave ‘ASAP,’” he replied when asked if he’s going to leave the show, in a recent interview. “It’s always going to be part of my life even if I’m dead, that’s going to be my show.”

“I love that show, I love being on ABS-CBN,” he added.

The Concert King also denied that there are “billing issues” in their show between the experienced hosts and the new breed of talents.

“I’m not like the main host anymore, but there are no superstars on our show,” he said. “We are all equally needed. There’re no billing issues whatsoever.”

This comes after Martin said in a recent interview that he feels the long-time ABS-CBN noontime show has "no slot for dinosaurs."

For now, Martin will be less visible in “ASAP” to focus on his show “I Love OPM,” where he’s one of the judges or “Himigration Officers,” together with Lani Misalucha and Toni Gonzaga.

The show showcases foreigners who can sing Filipino songs well.

Being raised in America and having a difficulty learning the Filipino language, Martin said he has learned something from their contestants.

“I learned from these children here that I should really get more in touch with my OPM side,” he said.

In line with this, he has worked on an all-OPM album.

“I just finished an OPM album, all OPM songs, when OPM is not yet OPM. I’m talking about old, almost Kundiman-ish kind of Tagalog songs,” he revealed. “So in this show, I learned that I have to have that sound in my songs.”

“I Love OPM” is hosted by Anne Curtis and Erik Nicholas, which airs Saturdays after “Maalaala Mo Kaya” and Sundays after “Rated K.”

IN PHOTOS: Stunning Binibining Pilipinas 2016 candidates at gallery tour

Some of the candidates of the 2016 Binibining Pilipinas pageant, which will be held on April 17.

MANILA, Philippines — Is a back-to-back win in the Miss Universe pageant possible?

It is, at least according to this year's candidates of the Binibining Pilipinas pageant.

The 40 Bb. Pilipinas candidates faced select members of the press during a tour at the Gateway Gallery in Quezon City on Tuesday.

This is the first time the aspiring beauty faced the press since they were announced as the official contestants of the pageant, which will be held on April 17.

"Yes, it's possible. And nothing is impossible for our country," said Ria Rabajante, one of the candidates in this year's pageant when asked if she thinks the Philippine can win the Miss Universe title again after Pia Wurtbach's historic victory last year. "I think if we really put our heart into something, we can really achieve it."

Of course, many of the candidates this year are inspired by Pia. The 26-year-old Pinay beauty queen lost in the Bb. Pilipinas pageant twice before winning the Miss Universe Philippines title in 2015 (and, eventually, the Miss Universe crown).

"I got inspired by her win. If she could it, I could it. I'm sure the whole country got inspired as well," Kylie Verzosa said.

The aspiring beauty queens have a lot on their plate before the coronation night next month. They will participate in annual the talent show this year and will be officially introduced to the press by the end of the month.

Traditionally, the Bb. Pilipinas beauty queens also participate in a fashion show (which will feature them wearing casual clothes and national costumes) as well as a parade around the Araneta Center before the pageant.

Rica Peralejo suffers miscarriage

MANILA, Philippines – Rica Peraleho has suffered a miscarriage.

It was on Tuesday when she announced that she and Paula Peralejo are pregnant. Rica is married to pastor Joseph Bonifacio.

On Thursday, however, Rica posted a photo of her baby bump, with the caption: “For those who care to know, we lost the baby. It isn't a very happy one so prayers and sensitivity are appreciated.”

In a subsequent blog entry, Rica admitted that she’s in “great emotional pain,” despite believing that God has greater plans for her.

“I keep thinking one day I will know how my baby looks like when I meet him or her in heaven, but it hurts me to think that it won’t be anytime soon,” she said.

“I know the baby really is supposed to be where he or she really is, but I also long to be with him or her so much. As in so much,” she added.

In the end, she thanked her family, friends and fans who “are also grieving with me now. God’s mercy and goodness doesn’t make it less painful, but for some reason in it peace and pain can co-exist.”

Why Shailene can’t stay put

MANILA, Philippines – There was a lull of about half an hour between our roundtable interviews with The Divergent Series: Allegiant stars Zoe Kravitz and Shailene Woodley last Sunday in Beverly Hills. While waiting for Shailene to join us, some journalists opted to go to the junket’s social media suite in the second floor of the Four Seasons and had our pictures with the cast via a green screen photo shoot. We also tried the super cool nine-minute virtual reality experience developed based on the movie.

We returned to our room after we were advised that Shailene would be ready to join us any minute. While waiting for her, our group of journalists got to talk about the new series titled Love that Netflix debuted recently. We were having a spirited discussion about why the series has split audiences who view it as either pro or against women when Shailene walked in. She caught some of what we were discussing and asked curiously how we were doing and what she missed.

We told her about the show and she told us she has not seen it and she’s been missing on a lot of things lately because of work.

Shailene has been on a hot streak since her breakout role in The Descendants five years ago. She has since starred in the box-office hit The Fault in Our Stars and has earned critical praise for her turns in White Bird in a Blizzard and in The Spectacular Now for which she won an acting prize from the Sundance Film Festival. Allegiant is the third film in the planned four-part series based on Veronica Roth’s bestselling YA series of books The Divergent. The actress also headlines Snowden opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Oliver Stone’s potentially powerful biopic of Edward Snowden, the CIA employee who leaked classified information about NSA surveillance activities.

So, yes, when Shailene told us she’s been busy, we know she’s busy. So busy in fact that she does not even have a permanent address!

“One day,” she told us after we asked her if she still lives out of a suitcase. “I have right now a little airbnb situation (she is referring to the current craze of people renting their homes for short or extended stays for a fraction of what hotels charge).”

“Who really wants to live in a hotel? I don’t,” she added. “Some people like that hotel life but it is not for me. I work a lot so it doesn’t really make sense to me to pay rent in a place for it to be empty.”

Despite the lack of a permanent home, Shailene has one of the most enviable careers in Hollywood right now and she is thankful for it. “I live a very beautiful life. I get to travel a lot. I get to meet really interesting people. This is my reality right now. It’s just what is. I can be grateful for it or I can look at it from a negative place but I choose to very grateful for it.”

In some ways, Shailene is pretty much like Tris, her character in Allegiant. Like her, Tris is a free spirit who doesn’t want to be confined in a particular place.

But, unlike her, Tris had to struggle a bit in the beginning to figure out who she is.

“In the first film, she doesn’t really know who she was and, in this movie, she’s not confined by the restrictions of knowing exactly who she is but she has a strong grasp of who she is and who she wants to be,” Shailene explained of her character.

In Allegiant, Tris, together with Four, played by handsome Brit Theo James, leads a group of fellow divergents on a harrowing escape from the walled city of what was formerly Chicago. What they discover outside the walls is a desolate and toxic wasteland known as the fringe and a city-oasis in the middle controlled by yet another mysterious leader known only as David.

The third series installment offers impressive set pieces and action-packed sequences including a thrilling escape where Tris and her group had to scale the formidable, electrified wall. This writer thought the thrilling escape was all special effects but Zoe Kravitz, who plays Christina, corrected me. “It wasn’t all special effects,” she said. “They made it look bigger in the film but they built a wall and we trained a while learning how to climb up it. But we really did scale the wall.”

Shailene, who takes good care of her body and who once told this writer, during our interview for Fault… that she mixes her own organic drink every morning, confirmed what Zoe told us and added: “The great thing about action is you just have to be fit enough to do something for a few minutes.”

“It’s fun!” she stated when asked how she found those action scenes. “So fun — the things that we don’t get to do in real life.”

Real life for Shailene is making movies, hanging out with friends when she has time, traveling, enjoying life and supporting the social and environmental causes that she feels are important and need to be addressed urgently.

And in a rather odd coincidence, Allegiant presents a world that’s been utterly destroyed by man’s greed and ambition at the expense of his natural environment. One journalist asked Shailene what she would do if she had the power to change the world.

“I’d first and foremost address climate change because that s—t is real and it should be addressed,” she declared. “You can do everything on a small level whether it is unplugging things or using very little amounts of water to standing up against pipelines, against fossil fuels.”

Another powerful theme that Allegiant also tackles is the one that mirrors the highly-controversial issue in Hollywood these days surrounding diversity or lack thereof. The star offered an insightful and thoughtful take on the subject when asked to comment.

“I think diversity is important. It’s important for everyone to be different, have different opinions, different thoughts. It’s just how you categorize diversity. Are you categorizing diversity because of gender, because of race, because of belief system or are we categorizing diversity based on the fact that you are studying genetics and she studied how to make a good movie and he knows how to vacuum the floor?”

Allegiant presents a world where people are divided by their genetic purity and that control rests only on one person whose world view is to dominate the lesser and imperfect race.

“Diversity is important because it enables us to learn things from one another in our community but I think it is also important to differentiate the subject of diversity and the subject of segregation.”

“Ultimately, there’s going to be chaos in every world no matter who is the captain of the ship. Chaos is part of human nature, you’re always going to have polarities, you’re always going to have people that disagree but the thing about these movies that I love is you have a group of protagonists who are committed to trying to help their community thrive amidst the chaos.”

The beautiful actress is not a political person and has not directly endorsed any US presidential contenders but she proudly told us how much she shares what one candidate stands for on many issues.

“I agree with a lot of things that Bernie Sanders talks about when it comes to climate change, education, equal rights, when it comes to support of the LGBT community — there’s many things that I support in his campaign but I think it is important that we can focus on just the fact that we have election and we are voting and ultimately it doesn’t really matter who you vote for.”

“I just encourage young people to go out there and actually vote,” she added almost imploring. “I think it is easier to sit at home and think that your one voice won’t make a difference but it absolutely will.”

Does she feel a certain pressure as an actress and a public figure to have a stand on certain issues and lend her voice to various causes?

“I don’t feel like I have to but I feel like I want to,” she replied. “There’s no reason why actors shouldn’t have the platform that we have. But we have it and I feel like why would we abuse it and not use it for the greater good?”

And she would like to remind everyone that “actors are just artists. We’re not anything else apart from artists. I think it is important for the public to recognize that we are just people.”

In a series of Instagram posts on Tuesday, the TV host-actress said she is leaving ABS-CBN, her home network for almost 20 years, to focus on her health, her family and her businesses.

The announcement comes days after she hinted on social media about making "important life choices in the next days" following recent issues with her health.

"Thank you, Kapamilya," Kris began. "Our relationship as a family started October 28, 1996 and it will soon end this March 23, 2016."

"A total of 10,354 days working for ABS-CBN, my life's most fulfilling professional journey because of your love, acceptance and loyalty," she told her more than two million followers on Instagram.

She also said the taping days for her morning show "Kris TV" is set on Wednesday and Thursday.

She continued: "Just like all of you, I love my FAMILY. My most valuable life destiny is to be Mama to KUYA JOSH and BIMBY; and to be a loving, selfless sister to ATE, PINKY, NOY and VIEL: a BUNSO who doesn't give them constant worry because of my health and safety."

"I'm not putting a time frame, but with my type of work, it's realistic to accept by leaving ABSCBN I'll be replaced and soon forgotten," Kris added.

"My sons and I will travel, we'll move to our new home, and I'll eat healthy, sleep early, exercise regularly, and live quietly--everything to make sure Kuya Josh and Bimb have a healthy mother."

Kris thanked her endorsements for "sticking it out with me while I work on my longterm health and wellness."

Kris added that for her "next chapter," she will focus on her businesses.

"I need to continue being WORKING MOM since I'm the SOLE PROVIDER for my sons, but for now I'll do it away from the stress of the limelight."

She also said "this isn't goodbye" but a "I think you'll miss me and I hope to see you again, soon."

This isn't the first time Kris said she will stay away from showbiz. In 2013, after  a spat with ex-husband James Yap, Kris said she will resign from show business to focus on her children.

In 2010, she also resigned from her showbiz talk shows after her brother Benigno Aquino III was elected as president of the Philippines, only to return as a TV host a year after via the morning talk "Kris TV."

Binibining Pilipinas aspirant booted out of competition

MANILA, Philippines — Pageant organizers disqualified a Binibining Pilipinas contestant from this year's competition allegedly over a sixy shoot done in the past.

On Wednesday, Jonas Gaffud, president of Mercator Models and Aces and Queens beauty queen camp vented his frustration on the disqualification of Kim Ross Delos Santos, contestant 20, on social media.

The 26-year-old model was booted out of the competition by the pageant organizer’s legal team, or BPCI, because of a sixy fashion shoot she did in the past. The BPCI has yet to make an official statement.

"Yes, it is true. But our legal department and BPCI are still having a meeting about it,” the article said.

This is not the first time the organizers disqualified a contestant because of a racy shoot. Miss World 2013 Megan Young was also not permitted to join Bb. Pilipinas for the same reason.

An early favorite and a strong contender for the crown, Delos Santos came from the same beauty queen camp where Pia Wurtzbach trained.

Several pageant fans aired their sentiments on Twitter over the disqualification. using the hashtag #JusticeforKimRoss.

Another Bb. Pilipinas 2016 candidate disqualified over racy photos

MANILA, Philippines — Another candidate of this year's Binibining Pilipinas has been booted out of the competition.

Janelle Olafson was disqualified from the 2016 Bb. Pilipinas pageant, allegedly over racy photos she has done in the past, according to a report in ABS-CBN's news program "Bandila" on Monday.

This comes after Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated also booted out Kim Ross delos Santos from the competition, reportedly for the same reason.

Delos Santos has been replaced by Geisha Naganuma.

According to Olafson, the "racy photo" she took was for a breast cancer awareness campaign.

"That photo is for a breast cancer awareness ad because my family in the States, my aunt, my cousin, and this year alone my tito is a survivor of breast cancer" she told "Bandila. "That is an advocacy and I don't regret posing for that photo... and I'm not gonna change for anybody."

Olafson added: "I just feel like God's path is here... Okay naman. Feeling ko kaya ko ito."

The BPCI has yet to issue a statement on the issue. — Chuck Smith
