Very inspirational ang mga ganyang athletes. They're determined to finish against all odds, a true exhibition of sportsmanship.
This reminded me too of Derek Redmond in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He was favored to win the 400 meter but midway the race, his hamstring snapped and he fell in pain. And then after everybody crossed the line, he stood and continued the race limping and crying. His father, couldn't bear seeing his son alone and he raced down the stadium and helped him finish the race. 65000 spectators stood up and cheered. This has now become the the Olympics spirit trademark and is featured in Nike's Courage commercial. Watch and have your tissue ready.
