China Called On Lockheed Martin CEO To Halt Philippines F-35 Jet Fighter Procurement

China immediately called on Lockheed Martin Chief Executive Officer. Bruce H. Thonner.  They called through the back door channel to halt and block the Philippine government in its plan acquisition and procurement of 12 units F-35 lightning, Joint Strike fighter jets (JSF). This was revealed by our insider at the control and operation assembly plant facility inside Lockheed Martin.

The CEO solidly and strictly informed China that they have no rights and jurisdiction to make such orders because it will compromise company’s interest and they cannot follow orders to them or orders from other government. We can only follow orders to our own government, The United States of America. In fact we cannot derail such agreement because it is a G to G policy or government to government arrangement.

An approval of US Congress soft loan package is on its way, waiting for immediate signing and implementation. Recently President Barrack Obama made a request to Congress to prioritize the approval of Philippine security defense budget.

Meanwhile, with the immediate approval of Philippine Senate bill 1657 amending Section 53 of Republic act 9184 a law allowing President Aquino’s immediate power in procuring military assets, directly to the government that has mutual security defense arrangement. Such military assets are Fighter Jets, Warship, (GTAM) Ground to air missile or (SAM) surface to air missiles, attack submarines, attack choppers and combat tanks for the use of the Armed Forces of the Philippines minimum credible defense posture.
Philippines is planning to acquire 1 squadron of 12 units F-35 lightning, joint strike fighter jets with stealth capability through the help and offer of the United States military soft loan assistance to guard their territory against intrusion of Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone, West Philippine Sea.
Lockheed Martin Corp. is the company that develops and assembles F-35 joint strike fighter jets or (JSF).

syempre negosyo yan

Sounds like China is just trolling us. Not unless ICBM itong binibigay saatin, I don't think China will be shaking in their boots anytime soon.

Hogwash.

1.  We cannot afford it.

2.  We are not part of the F35 partner program (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/aircraft/f-35-int.htm).

3.  This is the CEO of Lockheed Martin (http://www.lockheedmartin.com/us/who-we-are/leadership/hewson.html)

Mark my word - they cannot halt anything that we Pinoys what to acquire to boost our AFP. US is backing us through this project. China might have the superior power, pero as now, if you read the news on the web, they cannot sustain their growing economy. Kaya yung mga European companies are starting to pullout from China. They are doing this bullying in south china sea because of strategic location and resources, our seas might have oil and now they are getting our sea resources of fish. Tama ang ginawa natin, we have to ally in US and NATO. Man to man kayang kaya natin ang mga PLA soldiers, look at the history nung Korean War, na trap ang mga pinoys kontra sa maraming Chinese, natalo pa natin sila, maraming patay dun na Chinese.  What we cannot surpass right now is the military might of China because of their sophisticated weapons na copy paste from US technology. But rest assured as long andyan sa atin ang US at NATO at some Asian allies, like Vietnam and Japan, China could not afford to conquer us. Hanggang dyan lang sila sa islets natin. Ngayon kinaalangan nila ng resources para ma feed ang kanilang growing economy that seems to weaken na. It would be foolish for  them to go to war, magugutom sila. Kaya natatakot sila na maka acquire tayo ng high tech weapons and fighters kasi pag nagkataon marami silang dedepensahan, from Philippines, Vietnam at Japan pa lang hindi na nila alam ang gagawin. Plus yung sabi nilang nuclear weapon, kahit ano karami pa, yung Russia sila ang may pinakamaraming nuclear arsenal it would be useless because of US's and NATO's missile shield.   At yung mga tarantadong pinoy dyan na panay rally ng anti-US sentiment dapat sila ang lumaban kung sakaling lusubin ng China ang Pinas. It is not about Pinoy's pride it is a practical logic, we need to side to much powerful countries and that is the US and its allies. Eh kung naging US state tayo noon eh di sana masagana tayo. It is about who survives in the long run.  :book1:

NATO is North Atlantic.  It's on the other side of the world.

SEATO was created to like NATO but was dissolved. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southeast_Asia_Treaty_Organization)

yah - matindi ang maintenance schedule ng mga eroplanong ganyan. balita ko mga more than 10 hrs of maintenance time for every 1 hr of flying time ang ganyan.

pag susumahin mo mas mahal pa ang maintenance cost kesa sa eroplano mismo. parang babaeng sosyal. high maintenance. magiging syota mo nga kaso patay ka naman sa gastos!

Dream on. Lol

Its an F35. Around 70,000,000 USD each, try multiplying it by 40. Kulang pa para sa isang pirasong ang buong budget ng gobyerno natin this 2014. Lol

Satire lang eto, research din pag may time. Lol

And even if this is true, I don't think the Chinese will block the sale ng F35 sa atin, if we buy it, they can easily steal the plans from us, sa dami ng espiya nila sa atin madali nila makukuha yung technology if sa atin ibenta, pabor na pabor sa kanila eto.
