Summary:

-The chapter starts with the announcement of the completion of The Annals of Mr. Lu, followed by an intro of the records.

-The book was completed in the 8th year of Qin Shi Huang's reign.

-It consists of the 12 Books with topics including history, thoughts and philosophy and famous works done by scholars and contents taken from existing books such as Li(Ceremonial Rites), Yue(Music), Qi(Aura/Spirit[?]), Bing Shi(Military matters), and Nong Geng(Farming). Basically it contains everything and anything there is to know about the heaven and earth during that time.

-Significant content includes the concept of time which divide a year into 12 "months" which is something that we still use today. The concept of time explains many things such as seasons and solutions of what to do every month in the farmers' society.

-The ways of Confucianism, Taoism and Legalism recorded in the book were one of the best reference materials for scholars in the future to understand the philosophies and thoughts of the late Warring States era.

-The birthplace of a famous Chinese idiom, Yi Zi Qian Jin(1000 pieces of gold for a word), was also here. As the book already contains anything and everything there is to be known, Lu BuWei announced that he will reward anyone who could even add a single word to the book 1000 pieces of gold.

-Back in the court, Ri Shi, SHK and the rest of the Ryo faction were with Sei and the officials from his faction. Instead of worrying too much about the harem taking Sanyou, Sei is worrying about the whether Wei will take the chance to counter attack. SHK thinks that Wei has yet to recover and will not start a massive attack in the near future. He had also sent Kaioku to Sanyou just in case and he will definitely report back on time if he anticipates anything out of the ordinary. He also thinks that Zhao is more of a threat now that Riboku is currently in court.

-SHK seems to be asking Ri Shi about the scouting mission from the previous chapter.

-Meanwhile in Choyou, an order was passed down to move 10,000 men there to the northern city of Taiyuan.

-Kaiouku had also received news that the Queen Mother and Rao Ai had left Sanyou for Taiyuan.

-A brief intro of Taiyuan: it situated in the north of Qin, north of Tonryu as one of the northern-most city. As the wars in the recent years happened in central China, Taiyuan is not regarded as an important city. However, the isolated Taiyuan is currently seeing a huge number of migrants.

-Moreover, the moment the Queen Mother and Rao Ai arrived in Taiyuan, they had declared the city and the surrounding as their own state, the Ai state.

Summary:

-Advertisement: Volume 36 will be out on Oct 17.

-As 10,000 men were moved out of Choyou to Taiyuan, HSU were having difficulties defending the Wei forces attacking.

-Just as they were fighting the Wei forces, they received news from the headquarters that the officer of Sanyou region has rebelled and set up a state in the northern city of Taiyuan.

-Back in Kanyou, the court officials were all panicking with the rapid escalation of the situation. SBK sent 2 messengers to the state of Ai to find out about the true intentions of the Queen Dowager and returned with the message that she is just temporarily setting up the state for the ease of ruling her territories. If Kanyou isn't happy she is willing to withdraw the order of declaring the independence of the state of Ai. Despite saying this, there seem to be no intention for her to do so. Moreover, she also said that no one from Kanyou will be allowed to see her outside of Sei or Ryofui.

-Ri Shi looked back in history and commented that unlike 500 years ago when states were formed easily and unlike the old large state of Jin which eventually split into 3 states of Zhao, Wei and Han, it is a disgrace to Qin that a random state pop up without warning.

-Considering the mass migration to Taiyuan recently, SHK pointed out that if Qin were to go to war with Ai, the scale of battle would be larger than the battle of Tonryu half a year ago and Qin has yet to fully recover from that war too.

-SHK plans to exert pressure to Ai by deploying forces in the north while he tries to find out the Queen Dowager's motive for such action.

-Meanwhile, everyone in China, from Kanyou to Shin in the borders, from random folks to the big shots in other states thinks that the state of Ai will be crushed very soon. However, the opposite was true within the state of Ai as the Queen Dowager plans to buy officials to her state and credits her bold move to Zhao Gao, her young trusty eunuch.

-Zhao Gao commented that before the harem took Sanyou, he had already contacted a certain state and formed an alliance with them(referring to Chu)

-Meanwhile, Chu invades and caught Mouten by surprise. He plans to delay their invasion until Moubu arrives.

-Kanyou was also shocked by the sudden invasion of Chu and speculated that Ai and Chu had formed an alliance.

-SHK pointed out that if this rebellion isnt crushed swiftly and the state of Ai is recognized by the other states, it would mean big trouble for Qin and the state of Ai would become the 8th state in China.

-Ryofui is seen walking into Ai as the envoy of Kanyou at the end of the chapter.

Summary:

-Chapter starts with a short flashback of the first time Ryofui and Chou Tomo/Zhao Ji(Queen Mother's real name)met in Kantan, capital of Zhao, when they were still a merchant and a dancer respectively.

-Back in the state of Ai today, Ryofui offered to pluck out the thorns he embedded in her in the past, which she refused as she said she found the "man she loves"(referring to Rao Ai).

-As Chou Tomo pressed Ryofui for the purpose of his visit, Ryo revealed that his only purpose there is to initiate an official breakup between the 2 old lovers even though Ryofui admitted that he had never stop loving her.

-The scene cuts to Choyou where a simple reward ceremony will be held for the battle of Choyou that concluded recently against Wei and their Fire Dragons. As Qin is currently facing hostilities from 3 directions, the state of Ai in the north, the Chu in the south and Wei in the middle, they do not have the privilege to hold an elaborate reward ceremony in the capital.

-Tou was promoted to Great General, the second Great General in Qin after Moubu.

-The end of the chapter hints that Shin and Ouhon will be rewarded in the next chapter.

Yeah, definitely one of the best mangas out there(way way way better than Bleach lol). Naging interested tuloy ako sa Warring states period ng China.
