Though great acomplishment yan kay Kyou Kai at Shin if ever napatay nila si Gou Hou Mei at maging General na din si Shin lol.

-As Kyokai charges into the commander's tent, she targeted and successfully killed the most prominent character in the tent. As she had never met GHM, she did not know that the guy she killed was a substitute until she noticed the expression on the face of the lieutenant by the side. She realized her mistake but it was too late. However, with the Wei HQ fallen, she instructed her men to light the smoke signal that signals the fall of the HQ.

-With the signal lit, the Wei soldiers around the battlefield were demoralized and scattered while the Qin men on the other hand saw their victory.

-Reiou noticing the smoke signal, rushes back to the HQ with a handful soldiers leaving Ranbihaku commanding the Wei forces against Tou in the frontline.

-On his way back, he met the escaping GHM and got to know the story on how the HQ fell to the 3-pronged attack

-They both thought of the same counter strategy on the spot, planning to turn the tables against Qin. As the bulk of Qin forces are gathered at the now fallen Wei HQ, Reiou can take Tou's head easily as Tou do not have any more reserve forces behind him.

-Just as they finished their discussion, Shin appeared out of nowhere and swung his glaive towards them.

-However, as Shin do not know how GHM looks like, the speed of his swing was slower not as decisive, GHM shouted to ask "GHM" to run, leading Shin to think Reiou is GHM.

-Shin fell off his horse after slashing Reiou in half. Probably due to him unable to stabilize himself after using too much strength in that slash or due to inertia from charging in before the slash

-After falling off his horse, Wei soldiers surrounded him and gave GHM the time to escape. GHM glanced at Shin before leaving, probably trying to remember his face before their next encounter

-Reiou's men were unhappy that GHM sacrificed Reiou but GHM explained that it is all for the sake of Wei. Reiou's skills were stagnant for the past 14 years while GHM said he just needed 1 year to be equal to him and another year to surpass him. The only way for Wei to survive is to let the strong survive. This is the only way for Wei to get the last laugh in the era of the warring states

-GHM then gave the order that he will take command of all the remaining soldiers, including Ranbihaku.

-He then sent the order to all Wei soldiers to retreat deep into Wei territory, signifying the victory for Qin

-It was only later that night after the victory when Shin met up with Tou and co. for the post war meeting that he realizes he killed the wrong general. Rukuomi was especially angry as he cant believe Shin took the head of Reiou, who gave Ouki and Kyo much problem in the past, due to a fortunate mistake.

-Ouhon was unable to participate in the meeting as he was too seriously injured and was unable to get out of his bed.

-Ryukoku pointed out that losing generals Earl Shi, Reiou and the land of Choyou is a great blow to Wei

-Rokuomi asked Tou on the follow up action after this victory, whether to set up camp in Choyou and pursue further. Tou rejected the idea as the commander in chief(i.e. SHK) has instructed him to construct a massive fortress in Choyou after the victory, making use of the unique geographical features of the area.

-It will take at least a year to do that and they have to defend the area while the construction is in progress

-The commander in chief plans to use Choyou as the new frontline to weaken Wei completely.

-Tou commented that the power balance would be gone soon and one of the 7 states that were built over hundreds of years by absorbing smaller states, will be completely destroyed soon and Qin will no doubt be the one destroying them.

I think pwede na siya mapromote bilang 5000-man commander (excluding yung 1000 ni Kyou Kai) tapos yung next arc, Ei Sei vs. Ryo Fui arc, dun magiging general si Shin kasabay ng pagiging official (coming of age ceremony) king ni Ei Sei. Dun na magsisimula ang totoong Unification Wars. Kung hindi babaguhin ng author ang history, unang babagsak ang Han, sunod ang Zhao, Yan, Wei, Chu at last ang Qi. And mostly sina Ou Hon, Mou Ten, Mou Bu at Ou Sen ang Commander-in-Chief sa mga nangyaring Unification Wars.

-2 months after capturing Choyou, Qin had already sent thousands of craftsmen, laborers and soldiers to Choyou for the construction of the fortress.

-Qin had also sent a huge number of migrants to the neighboring castle of Sanyou, causing the population in Sanyou to double.

-Shin and co. mention that Sanyou and Choyou will be the key to destroying Wei in the future and eventually the unification of China.

-During the short discussion, a scout rushed back to Shin reporting that Kyokai's unit is currently in combat with Wei forces.

-Meanwhile in the capital of Zhao, Riboku also realizes the 200 year power balance between the 7 states of the warring kingdom will be broken soon after the fall of both Choyou and Sanyou. The state to break this power balance will definitely be Qin and China will move towards the new era.

-He also analyzes that Chu had made no done anything significant since the end of the coalition invasion and are probably training their army, making them a force to be reckoned with together with Qin. However, their exact strength is still currently unknown. (page 8 bottom pic: i wonder if Xiang Yan is the one to the far left in the background).

-With that, Riboku also planned to strengthen the forces of Zhao to be on par with Qin and Chu.

-Riboku also states that the battle in Kanyou(between Sei and Ryofui) will decide the fate of China as Sei is key to breaking the power balance between the states.

-Meanwhile in Kanyou, Sei and Ryo seem to be unfazed by the petty arguments between the lesser court officials regarding the funding of Choyou's fortress construction in the background.

-Just as the arguments between the court officials were heating up, The Queen Dowager suddenly returned the court after moving out of Kanyou for 2 years to avoid bad luck*. She demanded them to hand Sanyou and Choyou to the harem**.

-Looks like Shin will be kept busy in Choyou by the Wei forces while Sei will be fighting his own battle back in Kanyou.

-There is no doubt the final showdown between the 2 powers in court will begin now.

Summary:

-Everyone in court were shocked that the Queen Dowager wants Sanyou and Choyou. She explains that most of the officials in that area are already from the harem's 3 major families anyway and she wants to take over officially to invest in the major construction work there.

-Ri Shi argues that this needs to be discussed but she rejected his idea as it will waste too much time. She then proceeds to introduce Rao Ai/Lao Ai to the court and announces that the 3 major families of the harem has recommended him to govern the Sanyou area after the harem takes over.

-Most of the people in court do not know who Rao Ai is, with the exception of Ryofui and Ri Shi, so they were quite shocked that a relatively unknown person is suddenly taking over a city.

-After some consideration, Ryofui agreed to the Queen Dowager's demand. Even though SBK strongly object to the hasty decision, the Queen Dowager argues that majority wins(Ryo's faction+harem faction vs king's faction) and the matter is settled.

-Back in the bedroom, Sei questions Kou about the identity of Rao Ai but Kou do not know much about him despite knowing his name.

-The big guns in Sei's faction all saw something strange about the Queen Dowager's move and concluded that both Ri Shi and Ryofui knows who Rao Ai is, but do not know what they are planning.

-Sei also suspected the disappearance of the Queen Dowager in the past 2 years to the old Qin capital of Yong is very suspicious.

-Kou then suggests that since the Queen Dowager is back she wants to show her to meet her own grand-daughter.

-Meanwhile, Ri Shi has sent an assassin(from the same tribe who killed Hyou in the first chapter, forgot the english name) to Yong to gather information regarding the Queen Dowager's bold move.

-That night, in the bedroom, the Queen Dowager explains to Rao Ai(and the readers) her reason for taking Sanyou. The area has been tormented by war for long and as long as the harem invests a huge amount of money in that area, they could easily build up and army and create a new state for themselves.

-Just as they ended their conversation, their 2 children entered the bedroom and the assassin was shocked to find out that they already had kids.

-Before he could recover from the shock, a poison dart hit his face and killed him. Isn't that the dart assassin that Shin killed and Ten got her blowing darts from? Probably not the same assassin but definitely from the same tribe. Can't believe Hara sensei still remembers him after so many years.
