Kahapon, nagconduct si Vladimir Spivakov ng kanyang Moscow Orchestra dito sa Toronto. Not too many watched the concert. The reason? Spivakov endorsed the invasion of Ukraine to Putin kaya many who sympathized with Ukraine boycotted the show.

The same thing with what happened when Sterling blabbered about racism and many basketball fans pledged not to go and watch the Clippers as long as Sterling is there.

I'm not sure if there's any analogy to these scenarios in the Philippines where your judgment to patronize something is clouded by the seller's ideology that runs contrary to yours. I mean, will you work on a company who you know hire child labor? Or will you eat in a restaurant owned by somebody who discriminate women and gay people? Buy a product from a country that shelters and funds terrorists? Do you go that far just to show you care to a specific cause?

well it does not  affect what i buy... As long as i need the product that i am buying i don't mind about the person behind that product... pinaghirapan din ng kapwa pinoy natin yan and let ideology be felt somewhere else.. the example you gave is a case of direct presentation of ideology in action but what we have in our table right now is ideology at another stage...

It depends on how strongly I feel about the issue. Like for your example yung nag endorse ng occupation against Ukraine, most likely I wouldn't attend it too.

That also goes for your other example when something is endorsed by a blatant racist. I feel strongly against racism, it disgusts me, so it's a no brainer that I wouldn't even think twice buying a product by a known promoter of racism.

If simpleng pagkakaiba ng pananaw, I don't care much for it, I would still buy the product, I'm not melodramatic, pero if alam ko na yung pananaw nung tao na yun is harmful to others and supporting their products would mean giving them more chance or clout to spew their hatred or the like, then of course hindi ko yan bibilhin, and it depends on the situation but I might even actively oppose it in my own way.

It really depends on the situation. I don't like what China is doing now, pero good luck boycotting their products, right?

With the current situation (if it does not escalate further) The most I can do is to actively seek an alternative kung meron, but otherwise life goes on.

Just like what I do with Nestle, if may alternative then I would most likely go for it.

(He endorsed the invasion? The irresponsible pr*ck..)

ako pag product ay made in china, nawawalan ako ng ganang bilhin.
Nothing is permanent except changes
