bat tuwing nagluluto ako ng rice sa rice cooker meron crusting na nangyayari? tama naman yung water to rice ratio ko.

You simply must wait 10-15 mins after rice is done cooking (no need to use keep warm switch) before you uncover lid.

PULUTAN : CRISPY TENGA ng BABOY (chiririt)

INGREDIENTS:

Tenga ng baboy (uncooked)


Sliced onions


peppercorn


laurel leaves


patis


mantika


PROCEDURE:
ilagay sa isang kaldero ang tenga ng baboy (malinis na ha...), lagyan ng tubig hanggang sa matabunan na na tenga... ilagay ang paminta, sibuyas, patis, dahon ng laurel at sa pakuluan.... kapag malambot na ang tenga ng baboy, hanguin na ito at hayaang patuluin ang tubig na kasama nito... I-deep fry ang tenga sa isang maligamgam na temperatura pero half cooked lamang at saka hanguin... i-rest muna ito ng mga 20 minutes at saka i-deep fry ulit sa mantika pero sa kunukulong temperatura na... kapag golden brown na, hanguin na ito at saka i-strain sa isang diaryong luma at malinis para mabawasan ang mantikang kasama nito... Serve hot!
Mukang ayos itong pulutan na to sir james ah...hmmm...penge pag nagluto ka ah..

Fried Pork Liempo with Crispy Skin

 
Ingredients

Several slices of pork liempo



1 cucumber sliced into cubes
1 tomato sliced thinly
1 packet of lettuce sliced into bit sized pieces



1 lemon
1 Apple sliced thinly and sprinkled with the lemon juice to prevent discoloration



Cooking oil
Margarine



Salt
2 bamboo skewers



Procedure


Salt the pork liempo.

 

Fry the pork liempo in margarine and oil.  You should cover the pan to help the pork keep it’s juices while cooking.




After frying you will then end up with the meat cooked, but the skin still in a rubbery state.  We now need to fry the skin one more time in order to get it crispy.  To do this, we stack the pork liempo together and use the bamboo skewers to hold them together.


Now We fry it again skin side down on the frying pan.



Serve the fried pork over layers of the lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and apples.

The apples go well with the pork and give a sweet contrast to the saltiness.

Serve and ENJOY!

... Busy ang peg lately, ( busy sa kung saan saan ) hehehe!

Anyway ito po muna ang small update ...

'TOBIKO'

Jap term that means, eggs, particular of the flying fish roe .. Small  transparent round dots usually seen in orange, gold and green( wasabi flavoured) confections... Used to garnish sea food plates specifically in sushi platters and chirashi bowls too...




~~ carefully garnishing all my avocado topped uramaki roll with mayonaise and a sprinkle of orange tobiko...






Salmon tobiko roll





Spring Tobiko Roll

Not the usual uramaki wrapped in toasted algae... This one's wrapped in a very thin harumaki rice wrapper.. With fresh sakura flowers .. Salmon, philadelphia cheese, avocado , lettuce and wakame greens.

Finished off with Tobiko, of course.
