1. I studied filming as part of my course subject during my college days, kaya when you used that "cinematic purposes" as a term it was kinda strange and doesn't make any sense. I even asked my peers if they ever encountered such term and nope they haven't.
2. Based on your explanation of your own/opinion for that term, I'm still scratching my head, why? You just spoiled what's on the books or should i say wikipedia? You didn't actually explained your made up term which leads me to think that you really don't know what you're talking about.
3. The word cinematic is often used as cinematic technique for filming (whether it is live action, animated or C.G.I.). Isa pa, it is commonly used to describe a film trailer (cinematic trailer hello youtube) or a cut scene for games if you ever play games that used those cinematic techniques to make it look better thus the term cinematic trailer, and cinematic cut scenes.


So going back to your term, what's cinematic purpose again to you? Also come on gasgas na yang "everyone's entitled with their own opinion" try mo rin yung "prepare to explain well your opinion that should make sense for everyone."


And oh, I even answered my own question in regards to GoT writers' deviating from the book.

For me it's more of a practical concerns, since the show's target audience are mainly the non-book readers, while book readers are just secondary. (Obviously) Those who can't wait for the next season would have the urge to buy GRRM's book so it's a win-win situation. It's the writers' job to consider essential parts from the book to implement it in their tv-adaptation to simply just establish essential scenes/characters/ or events to those non-book readers without (much) deviating on the eventual events from the book.


Also I was anticipating (based from the ASOS epilogue) a scene for Merret Frey. Could have been a perfect ending scene for season 4 and not just Arya's Valar Morghulis scene. Too bad.

Sir ozy tingin ko what he meant to say was artistic license when he said cinematic purpose.  When you translate a book to the silverscreen or cinema, you must take into account audience impact and the short amount of time required to do it.  There is no need to bash a guy for having a limited vocabulary about the subject, it benefits no one and perhaps unintentionally makes you look like an ass, pardon my french.

Pansin ko lang while reading the book and watching the show, meron talagang elements na hindi nakakacapture... like ned starks warm fatherly aura.  Sa tv series he looked cold and stiff.. very strict. Pero nung nabasa ko, iba pala. Although the dialogue was almost the same, iba talaga pag kumpleto ang scene.

I lost my old phone ,,andun kasi mga copies and I didn't even bother to save a back up

*finally done watching the whole season- wait ko na lang ung next season,,kaso tagal pa,,anyway TWD is up and coming

Im on my second book pa lang ,,so diko siya maicompare and I don't even know kung accurate ba ung nababasa ko sa wiki,,mahirap ng magbigay ng comments,,hehe

sana next season makalipad na si Bran. I'm guessing that he'll be the one who can control Drogon with his special ability. Medyo natawa lang din talaga ako sa pagkamatay ni  Jojen comedy ung pagsaksak nung bungo,,nyahaha!

And what happened to tens of thousands of widlings? sila na ba lahat un? or me mga naiwan pa na hinde kasama when they attacked the wall? parang ambilis kasi nila natalo .what happened to the victims of red wedding?me survivors kaya? gendry? ang hirap talaga pag ganito kalaki ng production,,sobrang dami ng characters and parang ang hirap silang isiksik sa isang episode even in one season

oh well,,isang taon na naman ng pagtitiis

^^ is it still worth it to read the GOT books, even if you have started watching them on the tube?
if ever na gusto ko basahin yung book version, on what book should i start, i mean if i want to find out the things that will happen on season 5   ....coz ive been reading on the comic book for awhile till #12 it still covers the 1st season tinamad na ako basahin kasi alam kuna nangyari heheh...
