MANILA (UPDATE) – A man was rushed to the hospital after his penis was bitten by a horse in Barangay Manuel Peralta, Malita, Davao del Sur.
The victim, 19, is currently confined in the Southern Philippines Medical Center after his horse bit his penis while he was attending to it.
He said he was surprised when the horse bit him.
"Biglaan nalang ako kinagat," he said.
His father-in-law alias "Tony," meanwhile, suspects that the horse may have been possessed by evil spirits.
"Duda ako na baka na-engkanto 'yung kabayo," he said.
Dr. Esther Cherri Rayos, Assistant City Veterinarian, said the horse may have gone out of control after being provoked.
“One of the reasons is baka na-provoke o baka nasaktan, so that’s their reaction,” she said.
Doctors are now studying whether or not the man's penis can still be salvaged.
“This is the first time I heard a horse biting an organ,” said Dr. Leopoldo Vega, chief of Southern Philippines Medical Center.
The man got married only four months ago
