Goodbye Vs. Letting go

Parang pareho lang ang ibig sabihin. Pero parang mas masakit pakinggan yung "Goodbye". It's like forcing someone to forget or forcing yourself to move on. Then other one ,"letting go" is like the saying "if you love someone, set her/him free. if she/he comes back then it's meant to be".

In my experience, when i say goodbye then that's it, adios na...no more coming back. But if I think about it, the topic seems appropriate. Saying goodbye for me in the sense is letting go, meaning i accepted my situation that the woman i love is not meant for me. I just said goodbye because there's no other words that i can say but goodbye. Whereas i also used those words to try and forget things but still driving me back to her....

It is really amazing that a word can describe a meaning that we used subconciously....

Goodbye and Letting Go both have a message of finality. But It all depends on the situation kung final or temporary separation nga ang meaning nila. Goodbye could mean letting go for now, while Letting Go could mean Goodbye forever, and vice-versa.
Mas malinaw ang difference between SEE YOU LATER and DROP DEAD.

goodbye kase yungtipong nag babay ka lang sa taong gusto mong babayan... tapos yun eh kumakawaykaway pa minsan pag may time..

letting go naman is yung tipong, nag give way ka para sa iba, you let them go...

letting go is taking the courage to give up something you cant have.. goodbye is allowing yourself to move on from something you dont want anymore..

example bibili ako ng figure eh ang mahal kaya ayun let go na ako..

may nakita akong murang figure maganda nga tska mura bootleg naman.. goodbye na ako dun hahaha

wow! I hate goodbyes... Kahit saang board, or thread or to the person im leaving i never utter goodbyes except kapag need sa chat or sb.. Goodbyes for me is something permanent that even friendships are lost...

Letting go is like giving a person a leeway to meet somebody else... Its like just a time to move on but friendship can still be saved...

For me, its about "letting go" and "setting free"
sabi nila when you set free someone, it is the ultimate form of unconditional love. A love that doesnt expect a love-back, but continues to love despite knowing the circumstance.

Letting go, is much like saying "see you at the crossroads" or "until we meet again". Its like when you are holding a bird in your hand, and wanted to know if the bird will stay or go. Sabi nga nila, you can only tell whats yours if they stay behind after you let them go.
