80 People Executed in North Korea

North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un had 80 people publicly executed on November 3, according to  Korea’s Joongang Daily News. It’s the first known public executions since he took power after his father’s death.

In seven cities across North Korea, people who had watched South Korean videos, “pornography” or possessed Bibles were killed. The executions took place in Wonsan in Kangwon Province, Chongjin in North Hamgyong Province, Sariwon in North Hwanghae Province and Pyongsong in South Pyongan. According to the newspaper, about ten people were killed in each city.

The newspaper reported:

“In Wonsan, eight people were tied to a stake at a local stadium, had their heads covered with white sacks and were shot with a machine gun, according to the source.

According to witnesses of the execution, the source said, Wonsan authorities gathered some 10,000 people, including children, at Shinpoong Stadium, which has a capacity of 30,000 people, and forced them to watch.

“I heard from the residents that they watched in terror as the corpses were riddled by machine-gun fire that they were hard to identify afterwards.”

The Wonsan victims were mostly charged with watching or illegally trafficking South Korean videos, being involved in prostitution or being in possession of a Bible. Any family members or “accomplices” were shipped off to prison camps.

Kim Jong-un appears to be attempting to stamp out opposition by holding public displays of such violence. Any hint of sympathy toward South Korea or its western style government is brutally enforced. South Korea has a large population of Christians, and is host to the largest church in the world, an instant intimidation factor for Kim Jong-un.

Dr. David Paul Yungi Cho, or Paul Yonggi Cho, is Senior Pastor and founder of South Korea’s Yoido Full Gospel Church, the world’s largest congregation with a membership of over 1,000,000.  According to Wikipedia, “Cho still conducts two services of the seven the church holds a day; they are so heavily attended that people often must arrive an hour early to have a seat.”

With massive numbers like that it’s no wonder that the Communist dictator views Christianity as a threat. Back in August of 2013, MisguidedChildren reported that the North Korean regime strictly prohibits the possession of Christian videos and Bibles, often calling them “pornography.”

It is deeply saddening to see that the citizens of North Korea can be murdered for trivial offenses.  It is also troubling that this dictator can force 10,000 people to watch the horror in person.

I would think for a place like that to exist, NK executes more people than 80.

That place is virtually hell on earth. Media is state owned and controlled so you're not likely to see these kind of news coming out officially. The only sort of credible reports I know come from refugees and escapees from the hermit kingdom.

It's interesting how they got this story. It's not easy for news like this to come out of NoKor kaya I'm not sure of its veracity. Pero if we are talking about NoKor being partial to execute people willy nilly? Hell yes. Mass starvation, execution, torture and imprisonment are favorites in this utopia of theirs.

It's the only thing they have going for them; Fear and Ignorance.

There was one alleged drawing of a refugee, he illustrates methods of torture and execution in NoKor.

Pregnant women's stomach are stomped upon or they cut the baby out while tied to a tree.

Children fed to dogs.
People being used for target practice.
They even had charts about the degrees of starvation and how long they have to live, and how they could use them for force labor before they died. 

They have for cruelty down to a science.

What did you expect from psychos who do not think there are repercussions from their actions? Add unopposed absolute power to the mix and ignorance of the majority and you've got your monsters.

If their reasons for attacking Iraq and Libya were really about basic human rights and "sharing democracy", what about this guy? After all they have long been touting that they have nuclear capabilities or ambitions at the least and yet the world turnes a blind eye. The big elephant in the room that no one seems to notice.

Anyway NoKor both infuriates and fascinates me. It infuriates me because of their cruelty and downright stupidity and fascinates me how one government are able to hypnotize its people for this long. How they could keep the charade going for generations and why the world tolerates these Neanderthals.

I know some reasons behind why they are tolerated, however I cannot in good conscience say they are "right" reasons.

i doubt it if they do mass public executions... this government is secretive to the world and to their people... in fairness to the North and as crazy as that regime can be, the story may be made up by the South...

i am inclined to think that this story or news item is true -- perhaps even tempered, since it's more like "smuggled" news out of north korea.
i am, quite honestly, not inclined to care though. if the north korean government forced 10,000 people to watch such an execution, were the guards more than 10,000 in number? were most of those 10,000 people kids or extremely old people? however the crowd was formed, i am inclined to think and believe that those 10,000 did nothing before, during or after the executions. and, since we are aware of these executions, i suppose it would be safe to think that the entire north korean population would also be aware (especially since that is the point of making them public and audience-viewed executions int he first place). but, again, i am inclined to think and believe that the entire north korean population did nothing before, during or after those executions. i think and believe that even if their own people cared at all, they obviously don't care enough. why should i?
my point? like any other society, the north koreans may not get the government they want. but, for certain, either with change or none, they would get the government they deserve.
until they care enough for themselves, i can't bring myself to care at all.

I can't really think of something to say kasi the only way na mawakasan ang ganitong gawain is for the people to protect themselves... and i hope na somebody will step up gather supports to end this violence and tyranny.
