PNoy walks out of disaster meeting out of frustration

Bohi's comments: Mahal na Pangulo, hindi ikaw si Kris Aquino. Itigil mo na yang pa-walkout-walkout na yan at umaayon ka sa pwesto kung saan ikaw ang nahalal. Harapin mo ang problema! Hinaharap nga ng mga nasalanta e! Ngayon kung hindi mo alam ang gagawin pwede ka namang umayaw.

95% of Tacloban devastated?

MANILA -- President Benigno Aquino III on Sunday walked out of a disaster council meeting in Tacloban out of frustration.

According to radio dzMM’s Edwin Sevidal, Aquino was visibly dismayed with reports given to him by officials of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on the state of Leyte, in particular Tacloban, where thousands are now feared dead after the onslaught of super typhoon Yolanda.

Sevidal said Aquino had a brush with a businessman there who first asked that the government already declare martial law or a state of emergency. Aquino supposedly explained that the government is already looking at options to help in the recovery of Leyte.

A friend of the businessman also supposedly asked Aquino what the government is doing since there are already reports of killing there. The person supposedly said he was held at gunpoint by some looters.

“But you did not die, right?” Aquino answered back. <<< ang husay ng sagot!

The Presidential Security Group were seen ready to remove the individuals from the room, Sevidal reported.

Later, Aquino again showed dismay when NDRRMC executive director Eduardo del Rosario reported that Tacloban City is 95% devastated.

Aquino asked about a jail in Tacloban that remained standing amid damaged roofs. Del Rosario allegedly said it was considered a “minor devastation.”

The answer supposedly did not bode well with the President. He then stood up and proceeded to another room.

Sevidal reported that Aquino has since come back.

Now is not the time for drama. Now is the time for actions.

Siguro if meron may right na mag drama and maging emotional eh yung mga tao na andoon and na devastate. Those who are privileged and in the safety of Palace has no right to act like a petulant child. You are on the outside, looking in. Be objective.

Just do your job and stop blaming people. You don't want your VP doing your job for you right? That wouldn't sit right with a lot of people... You don't want that now would you?

People, specially those folks devastated are looking to your leadership. Be a leader and not a whiner.

Pinapanood ko nga sa CNN ang balita tungkol sa talamak na nakawan pagkatapos ng bagyo and it made me so sad.
Noong nagkaroon ng major earthquake sa Japan back in 2011, the international news were so amazed that there was almost no looting even after the destructive aftermath. Why? Because of their altruistic culture and organized containment by police. Ang malasakit sa kapwa ang pangunahing layunin ng bawat isa.

Ang mga liders naman sa Japan ay walang pinakitang bitterness at sign of frustration. That kind of leadership provided strength and calmness sa mga tao who were otherwise helpless given the situation.

we can only symphatize for the people in tacloban... we should understand their situation... dead people are in the streets and no food and shelter for the survivors...

my ex is living in tacloban... i have no news about her...
sana lang buhay pa siya and surviving .... lets pray for the best

Well in less than two months, it will be 2014 and two years more 2016 na! Sana when we vote for a President we should not listen to Kris whom to vote. One more of this kind of a President .... 6 years more and I guess we will cease as a nation.
