(UFC-MMA) UFC 167 the most expensive and in-demand ticket in promotion’s recent history

According to major ticket search engine company, Seat Geek, this Saturday’s UFC 167 in Las Vegas is the most in-demand UFC event since at least 2009. Seat Geek is a search engine that pulls together ticket listings from all major secondary ticket websites so that fans can compare listings for live events.

Seat Geek representative Connor Gregoire says that the company’s data on the UFC goes back to 2009 and that UFC 167 has the highest average ticket price they’ve ever recorded and also that this week saw a significant increase in the lowest prices available for tickets to the UFC’s 20th anniversary show, headlined by Georges St. Pierre and Johny Hendricks fighting in a welterweight title bout.

(NBA) Rockets have talked to multiple teams about trading disgruntled center Omer Asik

In an effort to unload disgruntled center Omer Asik, the Houston Rockets have engaged in trade talks with multiple teams and are demanding an impact player in return, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Rival executives say that Rockets general manager Daryl Morey has been active in discussing possible deals for Asik, but his asking price has been too high so far. Morey has been willing to accommodate Asik's summertime trade request, but has found little traction on possible deals.

LAS VEGAS – Georges St-Pierre said Johny Hendricks would provide the biggest threat yet to his welterweight title, and he proved to be right.

Even St-Pierre may have been surprised at the outcome, though, as many in attendance were when the longtime UFC champion was announced as the split-decision winner. Immediately after the fight, St-Pierre could be seen mouthing, “You did it” to Hendricks.

(UFC-MMA) UFC 167 Fighter Salaries: Georges St-Pierre and Rashad Evans Top $1.641 Million Payroll

Not surprisingly, UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre topped the list of the UFC 167 fighter salaries released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission to MMAWeekly.com on Monday.

His fight with Johny Hendricks came down to controversial split decision, but St-Pierre retained his championship after a hard-fought five rounds.

UFC 167: St-Pierre vs. Hendricks took place Saturday, Nov. 16, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The following figures are based on the fighter salary information that promoters are required by law to submit to the state athletic commissions, including the winners' bonuses.

Although mixed martial arts fighters do not have collective bargaining or a union, the fighters' salaries are still public record, just as with every other major sport in the United States. Any undisclosed bonuses that a promoter also pays its fighters, but does not disclose to the athletic commissions (specifically, pay-per-view bonuses, fight of the night bonuses, etc.), are not included in the figures below.
