The rhythm method of birth control means that people plan their sixual activities so they do not coincide with the times the woman is fertile. Basically, it is abstinence from six during ovulation and several days before and after since sperm can live inside the female body for 5-7 days.

For women with irregular periods, the rhythm  method is not very effective as a contraceptive. It’s effectiveness ranges from 75% to 85%, far less than other methods such as the birth control pill and the condom.  The rhythm method is most effect for women who have extremely regular menstrual cycles. Unlike the condom, the rhythm method does not protect against sixually transmitted diseases.

Some couples choose the rhythm method for religious reasons, while other couples see it as an inexpensive, natural birth control with no side effects. This method does not change a woman’s fertility, she can safely become pregnant as soon as this method is abandoned.

yeah effective naman ang natural birth control method lalo na sa mga may regular period. Mas effective with no side effects to kung tutuusin kaso kailangan ng doble ingat sa pagmomonitor.

Pero kung safe, mas safe kung after ng period. kasi kakarelease lang ng egg cells ng babae during this time.

according sa ob gyne ko, migraine is one side effect for some girls. sa mga nakausap kong friends na nakapag take na ng pills true yung pagkabawas ng libido siguro kasi may hormone na pinababa ang pills para hindi mag ovulate and eto rin nagiging cause kaya medyo kulang sa wetness sa girls.

i see... so 50-50 pala ang cons and pros ng pills. sa part kasi ng partner kailangan maintindihan yan para alam namin kung papaano kayo ittreat kung may ganyan kayo sintomas sa pagtatake ng pills

salamat sa info miss carol karma+

rythm method is good but kailangan talaga ay may constant communication sa mag-partner kasi hindi lahat nakakasunod dito, and the cycle can always change...

One of the things that i learned is for the woman to observe their organ. If it is producing a white liquid eventhough their is no arousal that means, she's fertile. I'm not 100% sure for this but it helps to observe once body during fertile period para alam niya ang pagkakaiba... more knowledge is better than risk....

The rhythm method doesn't force you to abstain.

It helps couples determine when the male partner can safely shoot his load inside without resulting to pregnancy.

It will be effective if the menstrual cycle of the female partner is regular, highly predictable.

Couples will have the option whether to withdraw, CIM, CIP, etc.

Hindi rin 100 % effective yan. Hindi rin advisable yan sa mga babaeng hindi regular ang period.

This is effective.  Tested na namin ito ng mr. ko and we're using it for 15 years now.

No, logic wise kung effective nga to eh sana wala nang artificial birth control methods na naiintroduce and physicians wouldn't bother prescribing some artificial birth control methods.
