Men really don’t need any “special” diet to lose weight, diets meant for women or both sixes work just as well. The basic principle is taking in less calories than are consumed for energy does not change between men and women, the only difference is that men need more calories per day than women (1800 calories per day on average).

So why are there so many diets marketed to men using popular male athletes and actors as spokespersons? It’s simple — men don’t like to talk about “dieting”. They like to talk about fitness; any male discussion about weight loss typically revolves around fitness not calories.  While many women can easily rattle off how many calories are in each serving of common foods, men usually are clueless.

The best diets for men are high calorie, low carb, lot fat diets full of healthy whole grains, fruit and vegetables.  High protein foods help ensure good prostate health so popular high protein, low fat diets like the Atkins Diet work well for most men. Besides, a diet with lots of meat seems “manly”, meaning most men are likely to stick with the diet.

Agree with these statement... very high protein and low fat diet to burned right away the energy we needed.

yes agree with this, and i already tried the atkins diet, and it works but you really need to be careful with food you eat.... but since i'm now working in a camp base situation and don't really have that much selection of food so i stop the atkins diet but continue being aware with the food i eat and the weight i'm gaining

Right. I'm a meat lover kaya Atkins go right with me, anyway balance everything.

I agree with pareng Derek's post, low carb is indeed the way to go.
