Sa mga Firearms Enthusiasts gaya ko. I have some really bad/sad news for you guys(depends on how you look at it).The REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10591 has been recently signed by our president. What does this mean for us gun owners? Let me give you a peek. - Limited to 50 rounds nalang ang allowed ammo per registered firearm. As a competitive shooter, I use a minimum of 150 rounds per competition. Competition shooters have to secure a special permit for them to be able to keep more than 50 rounds. Hassle.- Di na pwedeng bumili or mag-acquire ng HPR a.k.a. High Power Rifle (ex. .30cal, 5.56/.223, 7.62 etc.) ang civilians specially yung may full-auto selector na klase. Those who happen to own an HPR before the signing of R.A. 10591 can still renew their licenses but will not be allowed to have the ownership transferred to anyone.- May new licensing process/registration scheme. Under it, there are 5 types depending on how many firearms you own. Dagdag abala at gastos na naman.- Those who wish to own a firearm will have to present their latest ITR(Income Tax Return) as proof of income. Paano nalang halimbawa ang mga housewives(walang ITR) na naiiwan sa bahay depending only on their firearms for protection?- Kahit legal ang ownership ng firearm, owning spare parts and firearm accessories may land you in to jail. 30-40 years jail time for illegal possession of firearms? Talk about overkill. Tapos yung mga rapist, holdaper, at iba pang bad elements parang may free pass, and laging nakakalaya? Unfair.Patikim palang yung mga nabanggit ko above. If you want to read the full copy. Here's the link: http://www.gov.ph/2013/05/29/republic-act-no-10591/ This Act is definitely full of BS. Yung law abiding citizens lang ang tinatamaan ng batas na ito which doesn't make any sense. What the government should do is go after the loose firearms market/owners and leave us licensed firearm owners alone.
i agree on that sir baka nga talagang boring ng mga gunshowsmaybe sa overseas na siguro ako makakahanap ng gun for me
Haha gun shows won't be boring kasi you can still feast your eyes on the display units but that's about it. It won't be as fun as before kasi sa dami ng restrictions baka wala kang mabili sa loob kundi siomai at TJ hotdog haha. Or planning to purchase a unit abroad and have your chosen firearm imported back here? Kasi if you're migrating, let's say sa USA, I believe you will have the rights to own a firearm once you become a citizen kaya walang problema. If plan mo naman bumili ng unit abroad at i-import dito, you'll have to deal with customs and your unit will be subject to tax if ever i-allow na maipasok dito yung unit which I highly doubt. Correct me if I'm wrong pero ang alam ko if you want a special unit to be imported back here, kailangan mo din padaanin yung order mo through a gun store kasi sila lang ang authorized mag-import ng firearms.
Either these politicans are very stupid, or very clever? Hmm hmm hmm
I hear ya Sir. Loose firearm market and owners dapat ang tinututukan nila. Imagine, yung bad elements naka-high power tapos ikaw pistol na limited to 50 rounds lang? That's BS. Walang batas batas. To make matters worse they even televised the signing of RA 10591. It's like announcing to criminals na "defenseless ang legal gun owners and they have limited ammo to fight you with!". Music to their ears. Sooner or later they will realize their mistakes. I hope it's not too late.
i see ganun poh pala salamat sir yun naliwanagan akodi pa sure kasi if ever migrate ako pero bahala na i'll think about it later na lang
