The above subject phrase was quoted from Warren Buffet. Anybody here engaged in investing in stocks, bonds or mutual and equity funds? Recently attended a financial literacy seminar and started trading stocks and putting my savings on banks investment programs such as bonds & equity funds.
Please share your experience for those into these type of investments.

@fayt..
kayo sir how do you save?
what i learned in the seminar is that there are ways to maximize our earnings from our savings. to share to those reading this post, wag natin patulugin ang ating pera sa banko as normal deposits. ilagak natin sya sa mutual funds. sa ganda ng economy ng ating bansa ngayon, mabilis ang pagkita mula sa interes kumpara sa time deposit.
for example, nun nag enrol ako sa equity fund sa isang malaking commercial bank last sept.12 for 100,000php, ngayon May 13, kumita na siya ng 35000 php.
however there are risks which is manegeable naman.

@sir dimmu

Now, imomonitor mo ang day to day unit nya from the company habang itine-trade nila ang funds nyo. makikita mo na minsan tumataad sya (>2.0) may time naman na bababa (<2.0). however, in long term, mapapansin mo na ang performance nya eh sa pataas.

paano ba sistema sa mutual funds?

Low risk pero low yeild. Usually punta ka sa isang firm like sun life, and then may minimum to invest like 10k yata. Tapos may lock in na 6 months usually, di mo pwede hugutin.

Safer than the higher yeilding UITF pero still may konting risk. Ang maganda jan di mo kailangan malaking capital if gusto mo lang sumubok.

Lay mans terms lang ito ha, pero that's pretty much the jist of it.

T-bills? Pautangain mo gobyerno?

Haha +1

@sir prime salamat..im trying to explain to our fellow PTs how the investment works, napahaba nga lang ata hehe..

Sun Life Financial ba ito Sir?

@sir dimmu..

i started reading a lot about stocks and mutual and equity funds..madaming pinoy blogger na masisipag mag research at magshare sa internet.. you can check these one out as starters..

http://www.smartpinoyinvestor.com/2012/05/bonds-equities-mutual-funds-and-stock.html

and

http://www.investorjuan.com/2010/02/6-questions-about-uitfs-answered.html

by the way, Metrobank is currently one or at least at the top of the best performing commercial banks in the country. You may check their investment firm, FAMI (http://fami.com.ph/), and see which of their products best suited to your financial plans.

Laki naman.. test the waters muna bro.. haha

Then later on, you will get the hang of it.

Only invest what you can afford to loose. Kaya it's best to be cautious parin at all times.

Sa 100k pwede mo na siguro idiversify yan. Go to your local bank, check mo mga investment offers nila.

If trip mo din ang time deposit, I have heard Metrobank din ang isa if not the highest na magbigay ng interest among major players.

Province? Check mo rural banks. Usually mataas interest rates nyan. Pero gamble yan. May bumibigay.

Yes sun life finacials bro.

Ika nga ni Robert Kiyosaki, Investing is a plan, not a product or procedure.
Ex. Vehicles
Bonds, Mutual Funds, Business, Stock Market etc..
