i used to drive manual car (like nabanggit ko na dito).. kaya im scared to drive matic.haha! sabi nila mas madali daw un.. kaya eto, i have to learn from a driving instructor pa, para makakuha ako ng lisenxa dito.. eh bawal sa gurls mag drive ng manual, dapat matic daw.. hayyy... kinakabahan ako!
I dunno if it's sixist of me but I get turned off by guys who can't drive stick. Hell, I can drive stick so why can't he?
DocJenny, "driving with a stick" is a misnomer. Except for a few models of European cars with push buttons or control levers, almost all cars have a "stick shift", whether a M/T or A/T. Almost everyone knows how to drive using a manual transmission. Anyone who learned to drive from a driving school, most probably was provided with a car with a manual transmission. Only the "conio-tique" types with rich parents with drivers probably learned driving with an A/T thru their personal drivers. For practical guys like me, I don't need to prove my manhood by driving a car with a manual transmission. In Metro Manila traffic, it just makes better sense to drive a car with an automatic transmission. For one thing, i'd rather conserve my energy for more important things. Another thing, I can be holding the hand of my date all the way, more so during traffic. Maybe use my hand for other things :-) without interruption. Try that with a M/T.One last thing is the clutch of a car with manual transmission takes a lot of beating and wear and tear in Metro Manila traffic.During weekends, especially driving to nearby provinces, I prefer driving one of my M/T cars.
