Hermosisima was the last person on the microphone with the final words: "This has been NU 107, the Philippines one and only Home of NU Rock. This is NU 107, we are signing off", with The Eraserheads' "Ang Huling El Bimbo" as the final song of the station. The crowd that gathered outside, sad as they were, joined in the singing, and there was loud chanting afterward. NU 107 signed-off on November 8, 12:05 a.m, after the usual sign-off notice and Lupang Hinirang, the Philippine national anthem, was sung by everyone gathered in the station and outside the building premises[7] especially the final line of the anthem, which was sung very loud.-wikipedia

NU's greatest era where in the early to late 90's, starting with grunge and progressive rock until the nurturing of the local rock scene. the only FM station that currently plays rock consistently (about 60% of their airtime) is 88.3

yes, NU 107 was indeed the Home of NU Rock. Missed the station a lot. It was the station I always listen to from the time I got here in Manila and till their final sign-off. Remembrance ko sa kanila yung napanalunan kung concert tickets ng Toto combined with a 1 night stay at Manila Hotel.

Sobrang miss ko yung station na to, maraming sikat na banda ngayon na sa kanila nagsimula, galing din nila sa mga kawanggawa at pagtulong sa mga nasalanta. Favorite ko pag weekend puro requested songs piapatugtog nila.

nakakamiss nga ang NU i think yung mga DJs nila nasa online radio na ngayon hindi ko sure kung anong website.

i think thats not the debut album its the SMASH album with the burning skeleton on the album cover.
