yup, there was manga inspired from the game (different from the anime). it was publish since 1997 and still continues today. it has 40+ volumes from red/blue version up to black 2/white 2 version. the main characters in manga was red and blue plus green hanggang nadagdagan na nila silver, gold, crystal, ruby, sapphire, emerald, platinum, diamond, pearl, black and white. it would be awesome if gagawan din nila ng anime yung manga adaptation ng pokemon.
