Windows 8.1 vs. Windows 10

marami nagsasabi na at last adito na rin ang windows 10 to replace windows 8.

pero ano ang nakikita nyong disadvantage ng windows 10? meron ba.

I prefer win10 than win8 or win 8.1. For me, hindi comparable ang win10 at win8  kasi magkaiba talaga sila in terms of architecture tska ng target na end users. Yung win10 kasi pang PC and laptop while win8 is for handheld devices such as tablets tska iba pang touch screens.
noong una, win8 yung gamit ko using SONY VAIO Tap 20. Medyo nagagamit ko yung "screen tile". Di pa rin namna ganun ka-convenient lalo na kapag nasanay ka sa win7 at vista. ang napapansin ko lang, mahirap magadjust dahil nasanay tayo sa windows button sa lower left ng pc na nasulusyunan naman ng win8.1
Ang pinaka-nakakabadtrip lang talaga sa win8 at win10 siguro ay yung blue screen of death (BSOD). Though mas marami akong exp ng BSOD sa win8 than win10, mas okay pa rin ako sa win7 dahil mas stable (atleast para sa mga programs and app na nira-run ko).
eto yung mga nakikita kong disadvantages:
1. medyo matagal mag-update na wala kang choice dahil
2. required kang mag-update kung hindi, baka di magrun yung iba mong app (gaya-gaya sa apple, hahaha)
3. BSOD episodes
4. meron pang ibang programs na di masupport (konte lang though)
5. internet dependent

In conclusion, generally okay ang windows 10 than windows 8, however, I still prefer windows 7.

PS. Gusto ko lang yung windows10 kasi sobrang bilis sa startup.

still using a windows 7 desktop rather than my windows 10 laptop... i'm having compatibility problems with some programs... is there any way to downgrade the os from win10 to win7?

I am currently a Windows 10 user. I love the OS in general, in terms of productivity and overall performance. It uses lesser memory than Windows 8. I may consider it user-friendly as well as the navigation and menus are very intuitive, plus no more pesky "charms".

Having said those, here are some disadvantages that I think you may consider should you update to Windows 10:

1. The Settings interface is not yet "complete", users usually still need to access the old-school Control Panel for configuring the features that the new Settings interface doesn't seem to have.

2. Printer interface seems lacking some important features, e.g. allowing the user to manually manage the printers individually.

3. Windows 10 is still not error-proof (Read: BSOD-prone area at times). Also, displaying errors still shows hex codes that needs time to research over the internet just to know what is really happening in your system.

So far, that's all I have encountered when using the system. I'll update this should I see other glitches.

so reformat the whole hard drive sir? is this tried and tested sir?

Buti pala di ako nag upgrade sa windows 10. im Still using Windows 7.

sa desk top sir, tested na, sa laptop ussually ang nagiging issue is yung webcam, tsaka hubenating feature, dun ako nahihirapan paganahin

may balita ring lumabas, magiging subscription based na ang windows 10. meaning yearly na ang bayad dito, tulad daw ng paggamit sa norton antivirus.

Win 10 is just a predecessor of Win 8 the  only i see downside of win 10 and 8 is Virtual memory allocation lalo na kung may mababang ram ka with downside talaga sa mag lumang computer (even latest) you can fix that by tweaking the system not advicable itong OS na to sa mag di mahilig sa tech na tao just stay to win 7 for less hassle

i see... thanks for the heads up sir.. windows 10 kasi ung os ng laptop ko... try ko ask ung mga taga gilmore if they can do it...

Ano bang model ng laptop mo sir naruto? Baka kasi from ginawa yan nung mga panahong win7 pa ang uso, so madali na lang yan idowngrade from win10. Kelangan mo lang ng mga drivers na compatible which are available naman sa net.

Sir, I suggest you upgrade to windows 10. Though there are still some bugs and glitches, we can still receive periodic fixes and support from Microsoft in later times. Support for Windows 7 ended last year I think. So, at this time, it is the Windows 10 that is far safer to use.

sa mga may Windows 10 dyan ingat daw sa anniversary update, nagfi-freeze daw yung ibang computer pagka update.
