Jobelle Bascug : Alleged Most Beautiful Shoplifter caught in Cebu

Jobelle Bascug, the alleged most beautiful shoplifter in Cebu was caught on CCTV cameras after she was suspected of theft and made off with some P10,000 worth of clothes and accessories from a boutique in Mandaue City, Cebu on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Through the social media account of the alleged theft, she was identified as Jobelle Bascug from Southern Leyte.

Based upon the CCTV footage, the woman had exited the boutique wearing the establishment’s dress, high-heeled shoes, jewelry and shoulder bag. During the incident the sales personnel of the establishment were surprised over the theft as they observed the young lovely woman staying inside the shop for two hours.

In a news report posted by GMA News, the sales attendant Adam Dignos noted that the suspect was looking for the establishment’s comfort room. The sales attendant was quoted as saying “Hinananap niya ang CR dito, kaya sinamahan siya ng kasama namin. Pero bumalik siya at naghihintay ng tamang pagkakataon. Paglabas niya, hinabol ko siya sa elevator dahil suot pa niya ang mga items namin,” said sales attendant Adam Dignos.

The alleged shoplifter who later identified as Jobelle Bascug managed to leave the store, but she left behind the clothes she wore before entering the shop, along with a boat ticker with her name on it.

The owner of the boutique, Jessa Romagos already contacted the woman, who promised to pay for the items. Although the items will be paid by the Jobelle, the owner stated that she is still pursuing charges against the woman.

In a separate report by Sun Star Newspaper in Cebu City, the woman was also accused of not paying in a disco bar but she was released immediately after a settlement was made.

Perhaps she gets a thrill out of it or she has mental issues like kleptomaniac talaga siya. Either way she needs professional help.

If she's doing this just for the thrill and she thinks she could get away with it, I think she needs to be thought a lesson and should be charged accordingly.
