What Is Emergency Contraception?

Emergency contraception is a pill that needs to be taken with 72 hours of intercourse. It is intended to prevent the egg from being fertilized; emergency contraception is not a form of abortion. This form of contraception is about 90% effective.

Why Use It?

Emergency contraception is frequently used by women who has unprotected six, women whose partner used a condom which broke, or by women who were raped. Emergency contraception cannot be used to terminate an existing pregnancy.

Who Can Get Emergency Contraception?

In the U.S. women can get emergency contraception without a prescription if they are at least 17 years old. Under age 17, a prescription is required.

Where To Get Emergency Contraception

Many pharmacies stock emergency contraception. In addition, women’s health centers; private doctors; Planned Parenthood; and some hospital emergency rooms keep these pills in stock.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Some women experience nausea and abdominal pain.

mostly kasi kapag pills may kaakibat na side effects sa babae. Yun iba nga grabe ang side effect which affects the lifestyle ng user. Saka wag iinom ng pill pag di ka sigurado na buntis ka dahil it may harm babies kung buntis ka at nagtake ka ng pills

Emergency contraceptive will be taken to a case to case basis as long it recommended by your doctor , but most of women take there risk having this kind of contraceptive without knowing the side effect on it....   Birth control is a way for men and women to prevent pregnancy. There are many different methods of birth control, including hormonal contraception such as "the pill."
Every thought you produce, anything you say, any action you do, it bears your personality.

Emergency contraceptive is like the plan b,if you been to unprotected six..so it is helpful for those who forgets to take their pills or broken condom coz they can still prevent pregnancy by taking the emergency pill or morning after pill..

Yeah. Medyo mahirap morning after pill yung iba kasi they abuse it, delayed na ng matagal and they will still take it which can cause problems down the road. Meron din yan dito, forgot the name pero you have to take mga apat yata or something within a certain time frame and take it again after? Basta isang box yan. Forgot all about it.

Ask your OB what she can recommend, self-medication lalo na sa ganito can cause complications or hormonal imbalance among other things.

Anyway it's best to practice safe six, oo minsan mahirap specially when you're in the heat of the moment, pero ganun talaga. With great power comes with great responsibility sabi nga ni Batman. Yes he uses the morning after pill too.
