what attracts me most is the pasig river and manila bay...  you can really see how clean the water is back then... try looking at pasig river now from the lrt and what you see are garbage and the murky color of the water..

The Araneta Coliseum is the landmark of Cubao. In this 1960s photo, Aurora Boulevard is on the left (of photo), Highway 54 (now called EDSA) is below (of photo). When the Coliseum opened in 1960, that marked the start of commercial establishments sprouting around it to become the booming Araneta shopping center it is today.
