curiosity rover was launched november 26, 2011 and landed on mars august 6, 2012. there are currently 2 manned missions to fly to mars, Inspiration Mars Foundation and Mars One according to wikipedia. hindi ko lang alam kung meron pang iba o matutuloy ba yang dalawa.

Yes. May radiation dito sa earth, but because of our atmosphere and earths magnetic field.,minimal lng ang nararanasan natin. Mars also has an atmosphere and mf.Radiation on the way to mars ang binabangit ko. Remember curiosity? It is equip with a toaster sized device known as radiation assesment detector (rad). On its 253 days, 563 million km trip, scientist turn on the rad, para malaman nila kung anung level ng radiation ang mararanasan on its way to mars. Based on the measurements they received on rad, scientist published on the science journal that astronauts may experience 2/3 of a sievert. Here on earth, we humans receive 1/1000 of a sievert per year.
Ksma na dun ung mga xrays and ct scans na maeexperience natin.
Regarding sa fuel problems, take note that almost 90% of initial weight of conventional space craft is fuel. And it is heavy and expensive. There are some alternative like solar-electric or nuclear electric energy, pero mas mabagal ang propulsion nila because it creates less power. So mas tatagal ang trip, mas tatagal ang exposure ng tao sa radiation.

Point well taken with regards to radiation however scientists are now developing space protective gears to confront the challenge and if we can find a way to shorten the time travel needed then we could also avoid the problem.

The problem here is that governments are too reluctant to the said space mission to the point that it degrades the community of scientists to deal into space research and innovations.

Pwede din naman, gravity assist, using earths gravity, to boost its speed. Pero mga ~7km/s lng maidadagdag sa speed. Or lets wait na maimbento ung warp drive. Hehe. Hopefully makadevelop sila ng solusyon sa mga problems na yan. And if that happens, bka pondohan na ng government yn. There are also private organization na ngcoconduct ng reasearch for this mission, like,Mars One. They are planning on a manned mission by 2018.

if aliens were real and if they were working with humans then they could have already made an aircraft that can help human beings get into mars. but i guess there isn't a real alien that work with humans, and our technology right now isn't cable yet of light speed craft. hopefully in the future..
