Deron Williams gets start vs. Pacers
Special to ESPNNewYork.com

Deron Williams is back in the Brooklyn Nets' starting lineup.

Williams, who came off the bench the last six games after returning from ankle injuries, will start alongside Shaun Livingston, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in Saturday night's game against the Indiana Pacers.

Alan Anderson, who had been starting, will come of the bench.

Williams, who had missed five games after getting a cortisone shot and a PRP injection in both of his ankles, decided that he'd play a reserve role when he came back because he didn't want to mess up the chemistry that starters Livingston, Anderson, Johnson, Pierce and Garnett had developed. But the Nets (20-24) have lost two straight games, and struggled to get off to good starts, prompting coach Jason Kidd to make a change.

During his six-game bench stint, Williams averaged 11.7 points and 7.0 assists on 45.5 percent shooting in 30.8 minutes.

With Kirilenko and Blatche both out, the Nets are extremely thin depth-wise in the frontcourt against Indiana's potent trio of Roy Hibbert, David West and Paul George.

TRADE DEADLINE PREVIEW:

-The Phoenix Suns have ditched their rebuilding process and are willing to trade one of their four first-round draft picks for an established, veteran player. They are highly interested in Pau Gasol and are offering Emeka Okafor, and a first-round draft pick (via Washington).

-The Cleveland Cavaliers have not met their expectations this season and even after the Luol Deng trade, they are expected to shake up their roster before the deadline. Dion Waiters' name has been rumored many times before, and he will most likely be the first to go.

-The Charlotte Bobcats are tired of not making it to the playoffs and are willing to become buyers instead of sellers this time. They have
interest in Evan Turner.

-The Houston Rockets have been shopping Francisco Garcia for a while now, and they are expected to trade him before the deadline. They have ditched the idea of trading Omer Asik or Jeremy Lin, at least for now.

-The Boston Celtics are eager to trade Gerald Wallace and are willing to place Jeff Green in a package deal. They are basically looking for more draft picks and cap relief.

-The Detroit Pistons have not been too happy with Josh Smith. They may look to trade him before the deadline, but it would be tough to trade his four-year, $56 million contract.
Meanwhile, they are likely to hold on to Greg Monroe, although Monroe's name is still being tossed around in trade rumors.
-The Toronto Raptors are still willing to trade Kyle Lowry if they can get a reasonable deal
for him. The Raptors have been trying to sell Lowry for a very high price.

-The Orlando Magic had Arron Afflalo on their trading block early in the season and nothing has changed. The Magic would get a lot of value for Afflalo since he's played very well, so they will only trade him for a reasonable price.

-The New York Knicks have been looking to shake up their roster, and Beno Udrih still
wants out. The Knicks still have some interest in trading Iman Shumpert, but he's played very well, so it would be hard to let him go.

-The Chicago Bulls continue to look for ways to shed some salary off their payroll, and they have Kirk Hinrich, Taj Gibson, and Mike Dunleavy all available for trade.

-The Denver Nuggets are still looking to ship Andre Miller in a deal. Andre Miller hasn't
played since the turn of the New Year. With Nate Robinson out for the whole season, the
Nuggets will most definitely ask for a point guard in any possible deal.

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant needs only 75 assists to become the first player in NBA history to reach 30,000+ pts, 6,000+ rebounds, and 6,000+ assists.
