yari sila talaga sa Spurs kung sakaling magkatapat sila , very discipline at well coach ang team na yun . . .

Breaking :

Jason Kidd retiring after 19 seasons . . .

Jason Kidd announced his retirement Monday after 19 seasons as one of the best passing and rebounding point guards in NBA history.
Kidd, 40, leaves the game as a sure-fire Hall of Fame point guard. The 10-time All-Star led the NBA in assists five times and finished second all-time in assists and steals behind John Stockton.
Kidd averaged 12.6 points, 8.7 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals in 1,391 regular-season games. He took great pride in his ability to make teammates better and his knack for turning teams
around.
Woodson said in the statement that Kidd "provided an incredible voice inside our locker room and I considered it an honor to say I coached him." . . .

**********

Grant Hill and Jason Kidd, once co-rookies of the year both announced their retirement within 2 days.

Respect to two of the best to play
in our era. . .

LeBron James history in game 7's in his NBA career :

May 21, 2006: Pistons 79, Cavaliers 61: LeBron scored 27 points on a relatively bad shooting night (24 shots) but got no help from his teammates who shot 22 percent. Pistons moved on to the next round, where they lost to the 2006 Heat who eventually beat the Mavs to win the ring.

May 18, 2008: Celtics 97, Cavaliers 91: LeBron James was a total monster, scoring 42 points in game 7. However the second best player on his team, ironically Delonte West scored just 15 points. Pierce scored 41 points and matched LeBron, as the Celtics went on to win the ring.

June 9, 2012: Heat 101, Celtics 88: This is the first time LeBron James won a game 7. He scored 31 points, but had a lot of help as Wade had 23, Bosh had 19, and Battier chipped in with 12. The Heat Offense was like a well oiled machine, as the Heat went on to win the ring.

June 3, 2013: Heat vs. Pacers: As is clear from the previous games, LeBron is going to need some help. Wade and Bosh are going to need to step up. Indiana has the best defense in the NBA, so they will try to take the flow out of the Heat's offense. LeBron will need to have a big game, but it remains to be seen if he can do it alone. . .

Game 7 Points Per Game Leaders :

LeBron James (34.3)
Michael Jordan (33.7)

SAN ANTONIO SPURS NBA FINALS FACTS

The San Antonio Spurs are making their fifth appearance in the NBA Finals, which ranks eighth all-time in Finals history. Spurs are .727 (16-6) all-time in NBA Finals games, which marks the best winning percentage of any team in Finals history. The Silver and Black own a 9-2 (.818) overall home record in the NBA Finals and a 7-4 (.636) road record. With an NBA Championship in 2007, the San Antonio Spurs became just the third team since the 1976-77 ABA/NBA merger to win four championships in a nine-year span (Lakers and Bulls are the others), making them only one of two teams in NBA history to make more than one trip to the NBA Finals and never lose a series (Chicago Bulls, 6-0).

Tim Duncan has won more playoff games in his career (129) than 20 of the other 29 current NBA franchises. With three NBA Finals MVPs (1999, 2003 and 2005.), Duncan is one of four players to win the award three-or-more times, joining Michael Jordan (six), Magic Johnson (three) and Shaquille O'Neal (three). Duncan is just the second player in history to earn NBA Finals MVP honors in each of his first three trips to the Finals (Michael Jordan was six-for-six).

more to come . . .

Playoff Success in the Duncan Era :

Since the Spurs selected Tim Duncan with the first overall selection in the 1997 NBA Draft, San Antonio has the highest winning percentage in the postseason over the last 16 years (1998-present). The Lakers currently have the most wins and have one more championship (5) than the Spurs (4) during that time frame. . .
