Ingredients
2 blocks tofu, diced
4-6 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped (I use red.)
4-6 green finger chilis, sliced (Adjust amount to taste.)
3 Tbsp liquid seasoning (I use Knorr.)
1 Tbsp calamansi or lemon juice
6 Tbsp mayonnaise
oil for deep-frying and sautéing
Directions
1. You start with a block of tofu. Local tokwa is fine, so is Japanese regular tofu. Slice into 1-cm cubes.
2. Deep-fry tofu until lightly golden. Drain.
3. Saute garlic, onion, and chili in a tablespoon or two of oil.
4. Add fried tofu.
5. Add seasoning and lemon juice.
6. Remove from heat. Let it rest for a minute, then add mayonnaise.
7. Transfer the tofu on a pre heated sizzling plate, serve
