Women who have reached menopause will notice that they no longer have an increased six drive when ovulation. Lower estrogen levels also cause women to desire six less frequently after menopause.
Women who have not reached menopause might want to ask their doctor about a blood test for low thyroid function and iron deficiency anemia. These are two common problems in women that can affect six drive. Diabetes will also cause women to have a decreased six drive.
Alcoholism or drug abuse will cause a low libido in women although a decreased six drive is not the primary problem for anyone abusing drugs or alcohol — the addiction is the problem that needs attention.
Stress is also a primary reason for a low six drive in younger women. Fortunately, for many women, a lack of libido due to stress is only temporary. Having problems in a relationship will also cause women to feel a lack of desire for their partner.
While women are urged to speak with their doctor about possible treatments if a lack of desire for six is a problem, many women do not seek treatment as they are not in a relationship and do not see a decreased libido as a problem.
