Don't forget Dredd. This is probably one of the most underrated movies of 2012. Dredd, is gruff and doesn't show too much empathy, but it's there. Great action scenes, the slow-mo effect looks awesome especially in 3D. All in all, I think it captured the feel of the Heavy Metal series.
