Title: Sweet Garbanzos

Can somebody please help. I have a couple of cans of chick peas at naalala ko yung matamis na garbanzos sa Pilipinas. Bigla akong naglaway at gusto kong gumawa ng sweet garbanzos. I googled but I couldn't find any recipe.

Kung sino man ang may alam, gagawan kita ng isang basong halo halo pagbisita mo dito.

Eto ay galing sa akin biyenan

1. Ilagay mo yan garbaszos ka kalderong may tubig.. ilubog lang daw ang garbasos sa tubig
2. Lagyan mo ng carbonato
3. Papakuluan ng matagal. Di lo alam yun tagal. Kukuha ka kasi ng sample, chcheck kung malambot. kung nahiwalay na yun balat sa laman.
4. Pag malabot na, tanggalin na sa kalan. Tanggalin na rin yun water mixed with carbonato.
5. Babalatan mo na
6. Pag nabalatan na lagay mo na sa panibagong lalagyanan at lagyan ng konting tubig
7 lalagyan ng asukal. Maraming asukal. Kung isang kilo garbanzos mo isang kilo din ng asukal.
8. Papakuluan mo uli para macaramelice yun asukal

Now I have to find that carbonato... I don't even know what a freaking carbonato is..

Ako rin ehh di ko lam yan carbonato.. kala ko nga baking soda yan ehh..

search mo na lang kay pareng google yang carbonato, hehehe

Since canned yung garbanzos palagay ko hindi na kelangan ng carbonato, whatever that means. Pakuluan mo lang sa sugar syrup (asukal at tubig)

Thanks mylfie. I'll do what you said together with fayt's mother in law's suggestion - minus the carbonato.
