Hulaan ko nalang. Maybe because pag 40 ka na ay you can maximize reaping the benefits of all your hard work? Guess ko lang po yan.

Post by: redpepper on April 05, 2013, 08:39:08 PM: ...i think it started in europe...particularly UK... during the medieval era the life expectancy then was somewhere in the 25-30 years... then came the industrial revolution in the 20th century, gadgets came such as washing machine and the like... pipol then started to enjoy such things with life expectancy became 40-50 years...and during this time pipol are already retired from working and sort of start a new life, aka - life begins at forty...

So if you live to be 80 you've the reach the mid part of your life. That's when you, I believe start thinking gee I better start enjoying life more. So you start doing things a little more that in past you would not normally do to have fun.
