hello po. ask lang me ng help for diskless setup.
hindi po for internet cafe.. sa bahay lang po - narinig ko lang mas cheaper option ito.
planned setup is 1 server with 3 diskless units mainly for internet and ms office (word, excel) lang used at home.
thanks for the help.

Hi.. makakatipid ka ata sa diskless. Problema lang if masira yong server mo.

There are commercial solutions, and there are free solutions.
The advantages are easier management/maintenance and less moving parts on the clients.
The disadvantage is having the server as a single point of failure. Also, diskless is a bit slower as everything has to pass through the network.
Cost is similar.

What if you have a netcafe sir zzgundam? What would you prefer?

I'd still prefer disk-based machines.
Reasons:
1. So you can offer higher-end games which are multi-GB in size (e.g. Assassin's Creed Origins, etc)
2. So your clients can still play even if the server goes down.
3. OS and productivity software licensing when using diskless setups are legally in a gray area. I'd like to stay aboveboard and err on the side of caution.

Ayun kay TS di nmn ata gagamitin for gaming ei home based lng.. so pasok pa rin ang disk less sa needs niya..
