madalas masyado na tayong busy sa work, errands, lakad, etc. to cook a full family meal. other than bumili nalang sa labas ng ulam, pwede pa naman ang quick home-cooked meals. share naman kayo dyan. :)

Uy! Rare ... Kung 2 inch thick steak yan.. Lagyan mo ng balsamic vinegar sissy.. Saka tabasco... Ok na! Pero kung mala Fiorentina na yan... Lutuin mo kaya hehe!
Revise ko lang pasta ni Lady:
For one serving lang ha...
~Pasta In Bianca~
Meaning, white or just plain pasta..
100 gr. Fusilli pasta
1/2 tbsp. Butter
1 tbsp. Grated parmesan cheese
A dash of ground pepper...
Procedure:
Boil the pasta for 10 mins ( al dente) adding a pinch of salt as the water simmers.
Drain and put in a bowl and mix the other ingredients..
Mix thoroughly until well blended...
If the pasta looks too dry... Add 2 tbsp of boiled pasta water
Nb: if you're in a diet... Instead of butter... 2 tbsp of olive oil will do..
If you want an aromatic plate of white pasta..
Same procedure... Just add a few Salvia leaves while you mix all the ingredients and add a little more of ground black pepper...parmesan cheese will thicken the sauce , makes it more 'cheesier' ... Pecorino cheese is optional , that is kung gusto nyo maalat alat sa panlasa.
Nb: spaghetti no. 5 is the best choice of pasta on this one... But if you prefer shorter ones...fusilli or penne is ok also.
Bon apetit!

2 slices red onion
Spread mustard onto the cut sides of the bagel. Layer the lettuce, green pepper, cucumber, and tomato on one half. Season the tomato with salt and pepper. Top with onion and then cover with the other half of the bagel.

Kobe,
That sandwich i posted , if you're hungry enough i bet you could prepare it in less 10 mins. Wag mo nga lang slice finger mo hehehe..,
As for the pasta, depende sa klase ng pasta yan... Most spagehtti like spag . # 5 cooks approx in 11 mins... But if you want it al dente...boil it in 8 mins... 'Bianca' means white in italian.., why? Kase po grated parmesan cheese lang yan and melted butter plus black pepper to taste... ....you could make it in less 20 mins...but kung like mo fussili or macaroni pasta.. 12 mins yan... If you want it fresh pasta like pasta chitarra and fettuccine... I can assure you... Cooking time is still less 20 mins... Wag mo nga lang pasuin kamay mo sa kalan... Hehehe...
: winkz:

~Mexican Omelette ~
(http://i58.tinypic.com/33ud17n.jpg)
Serves 4
1 ripe avocado
3 limes
15 g fresh coriander
3 tablespoons fat-free natural yoghurt
olive oil
1 small onion
1 carrot
½ white or green cabbage
1 fresh red chilli
8 large free-range eggs
60 g Cheddar cheese
Procedure :
Peel the onion and carrot. Ideally in a food processor, or using a box grater and good knife skills, grate the onion and carrot, then finely slice the cabbage. Very finely slice the chilli by hand, then tip everything into a large bowl. Add most of the coriander leaves, then pour over the avocado dressing and toss together well. Taste and season to perfection again, if needed. Whisk all the eggs together in a bowl, with a splash of water to loosen and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Put a large non-stick frying pan on a medium-low heat. Once fairly hot, put in a tiny drizzle of oil followed by a quarter of the egg mixture. Swirl it all around the pan, grate over a quarter of the cheese and let it melt, then cook the omelette gently without colouring it, so it's soft, silky and smooth, for just under 2 minutes, only cooking on one side. Slide it on to a plate, spoon over a quarter of the avocado slaw, then gently fold up the sides and roll over. Serve with a wedge of lime and a few extra coriander leaves. Repeat with the remaining ingredients, serving them up as you go.

Prawn & Papaya Salad
(http://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/jamieoliverprod/_int/rdb2/upload/1463_2_1436874785_lrg.jpg)
ingredients
50 g unsalted peanuts
3 cloves of garlic
400 g peeled king prawns, deveined
4 ripe tomatoes
groundnut oil
1-2 fresh red Thai chillies
3 limes
3 tablespoons fish sauce
runny honey
1 cucumber
650 g green papaya, (or ½ large white cabbage)
4 spring onions
½ a bunch of fresh Thai basil
½ a bunch of fresh coriander
procedure
Toast the peanuts in a large dry frying pan over a medium-high heat, transfer to a bowl and set aside. Peel and finely slice 2 cloves of garlic, roughly chop most of the prawns and the tomatoes.
Return the frying pan to a medium-high heat with 1 tablespoon of oil and the garlic. Fry for 1 minute, stir in the whole prawns and fry until turning pink, then add the chopped prawns. Cook for another minute, stir in the tomatoes, then cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until softened. Remove from the heat and leave to cool.
Deseed the chillies and peel the remaining clove of garlic, then roughly chop. Place into a pestle and mortar and pound to a rough paste. Add half the toasted peanuts and bash well. Squeeze in the juice from 2 limes, add the fish sauce and 2 tablespoons of honey, then mix well. Taste and add more lime juice or honey, if needed, then place into a large bowl.
Halve the cucumber lengthways, scoop out the watery seeds, then very finely slice with a mandolin (use the guard!). Peel and very finely shred the green papaya (or the cabbage, if using), then add to the dressing.
Trim and finely slice the spring onions, pick and roughly chop the basil leaves, then add to the bowl with the whole coriander leaves. Add the cooled prawn mixture and toss well. Roughly chop and scatter over the remaining peanuts and serve with lime wedges for squeezing over.
