Mga ka PT pag usapan natin dito kung nagagamit or naaapply niyo po ba ang mga pinag aralan niyo sa inyong mga respective courses nung college sa inyong industriya na inyong ginagawalan or sa inyong line of work.
Umpisahan ko na.....
I took up business management in college.

hindi eh, after ko matapos sa collage nag doktoreyt ako pero until now wala naman ako clinic or i never work in a hospital....
-
Nope. I guess that's what I get for taking up such a sh*tty course..... :book1:
It's a great conversation starter though. Why such a sh*tty course, Prime?
You know what I like mate? Psychiatry. Damn I want to take that up so bad.
-
Nope... I took up Dentistry... I dont have the patience at nerbyosa ako ... Sayang ang tuition fee! Lol...

Dami rin talagang ganitong kaso na hindi nagagamit sa line of work ang mga pinagaralan or tinapos nung college.
When I do final interviews and ask applicants kung bakit sa call center sila nag aapply and why not look for a job thats inline with what they studies, marami rami din na nagsasabi na yung pinag aralan kasi nila was due to insistent demand ng parents.

-
I took up Commerce major in Marketing. Very much in line sa work ko even previos work i used to do events marketing, then automotive sales and now hospitality naman. Isa lang naging work ko na di related sa natapos ko which is banking i hate it kaya di ako tumagal sa BDO.
-
Yes gamit na gamit ko.......... I am a graduate of Accountancy at isang CPA.......... eversince nagtrabaho ako I have been working in my field of study........ unang job......... audit staff sa SGV & Co........
>:D
-
Yes, definitely. I work in a computer security company, so what I learned at school (rather, what I learned from reading the materials - I didn't learn much from the lectures) is very helpful.
-
Masarap din talaga kapag you get to apply what you learned sa trabaho. More chances of coming out on top.
-
napunta ako sa tech hardware/software rather than cabling, designs, etc.....
-
Ako so far yes... I am an Architect and I work for a design firm who for sure made one or most of your hang out places. :)
-
99% nope. sa shipping ako napunta e. magpapauso kaya siguro ako ng bachelor of science in air logistics.
-
yung mga nauna kong work di related sa napag aralan ko. but later on dun na ako sa field of study ko until now. but I think mag iiba na ako ng linya ng work.
-
-
nope. and i believe many people are encountering this type of problems. pero as long as you're earning good money, it's all good.

-
Uu dati...3yrs and half ako sa mining industry...dati akala ko malabo ko magamit yung natapos ko dahil babae ako but luckily may mga mining industry na nag open ng opportunity samin...masaya yung whole experience pero yun nga di maiwasang I want more of what I have kaya nagresign..hahaha..kwento much
-
yes araw araw.. and i'm proud of it.. ito kasi gusto ko at happy ako sa ginagawa ko :)
-
Yes. I've been in the food industry for almost 13 years. More than 20 successful and less successful projects were developed and I guess you were able to enjoy those stuffs sa food market.

-
Ako din yes.....nagtapos ako ng BS in Electrical Engineering at nagwo-work sa isang electric distribution utility bilang protection engineer......pero ung mga naunang work ko in line din sa mga tinapos ko......electronics din ako.....at computer technician pa hehehe...magkakarelasyon ang 3 course ko.......pero wala pa rin pera hehehe
-
i am a tourism graduate. in college we studied hospitality, customer services, personality developement etc.. so i think kahit papaano my course in college was inline with my current work which is call center agent.
-
-
yes actuallly naka-14 years na din ang lumipas after graduation.. ito pa rin ako isang computer technician still counting.....
-
ayaw niya malayo sa boyfriend niyang panget.
Hahaha.
As a Programmer, hindi ko masyado na-utilize ang napag-aralan ko, na-utilize in a way na ma-expose sa mismong system life-cycle and development. Mostly mga web base projects ang nagagawa ko and solo flight pa palagi, it would have been nice siguro kung may mga ka-team na pwedeng makipag-palitan ng knowledge and information, I think mas masasabi ko na nasa field talaga ako ng course ko. Somehow, thankful padin ako kasi at inline padin ang aking career.
-
hindi ko siya nagamit wala naman ako natutunan sa mga programming at coding coding hahaha! pero yun work ko ngayon mejo related siya dun pero no need mag code code more on creating strategies at in depth research lang heheh :))
-
yup... i am a graduate of architecture and right now i am an architect-contractor so i am using what i had studied...
o.t. but when i was a child, i wanted to be an astronaut... :'(
-
-
same with me. I am a nursing graduate na pasado din sa board exam pero naging work ko ay tagatimpla ng kape abroad kesa taga timpla ng gamot :hilo:
-
-
in my point of view... ang layo ng trabaho ko sa pinag aralan kong korso... Im a Computer Science by degree but my job is more on Accounting :'( :'(
-
in my line of business...50% yes...I'm at private practice kasi, I have a small construction companny. Mostly what I learned from school that I can apply to my line business is estimate and structural design.
30%-is thru experience, failure make up me a better company owner and businessman
20%-financial matters-this I have to look up to, the value of every penny to get the most of it.
just my share... :-X
-
-
there was a friend of mine who told me yung daw gagastosin mo for four years of college is eh negosyo mo nalang mas malaki pang kita mo thru hard work
i took his advice i did finish my course thou, business ako agad luckily its booming

a big NO...malayo ang Dentistry sa Culinary. ..but whaddaheck, basta okay ang business dun..e di go! :peace:
-
:hi1:
-
malayong malayo ang work ko sa pinag aralan... yung first job ko medyo nagamit the next one malayo na lalo na yung fourth job ko at lalong lumala sa current work ko :peace: :peace: :peace: :peace: :peace: :peace: :peace:
-
Although I would say na I could've done better sana sa studies ko when I was younger, pero ok lang. I found a decent and high paying job naman kahit na maloko ako nung college.
-
Yep, from my first job until now. Pa iba iba lang position hehe :-\
-

-
In the perspective of Philosophy, the answer is yes. Say, arithmetic is something that you are using almost everyday. When you pay your fare for a jeepney ride, you absolutely use math.
If your question is exclusive only to your specialization, you have to understand that in the actual field, only 5% of those knowledge will be repeatedly use. The remaining 95% will be stocked for a while before you can use.
For example, an electrical engineer will not always compute the electric field by the power cables installed in a 20-storey building. A pharmacist most of the time uses math especially if they are employed in Mercury dru, and so on.
In my case, since my course in College covers all areas in technology, from computer science, engineering, social science, communications, theoretical science, etc. I am using the knowledge I learned in college almost everyday. But mind you this, I am not practicing my specialization. :)
-
of course I'm using what I have studied and I'm enjoying every second of it.
-
Yes, teacher ako eh. Hahahahaha!
Pero, come to think of it... Like arts, music saka leadership skills.
-
:-\ :-\ :-\ definitely YES, im a registered nurse, and i've been in and out of the hospital since 1996....and i'm proud of it....
-
