Tara tirahin na natin ang mga banda na hate na hate nyo... simulan ko na..
ayoko nang Cueshé para silang boy band na nilagyan nang walis tambo sa kamay, mas rock pa sa kanila ang kanta nila... korni nung banda na yan...

hmm.. hindi ko trip yung 6cyclemind, spongecola, callalily and dati din yung cueshe saka hale lol more on 90's bands ako eh haha parang late 80's to 90's lumabas yung mga astig na banda lol

Orange and lemons un. Maganda naman tugtugan nila kaso nagdisband. May away ata si clem at maccoy. Un pogi rock naapreciate ko naman kasi naggigitara ako madalas irequest dati sa inuman un sige, magbalik etc.

yung prinsesa din ng the teeth tinula este kinanta din 6cycle lol for me, the best talaga ang pinoy rock scene nung 90s lol razorback, wolfgang (my top 2 faves lol), the dawn, rizal underground, eheads, pne, rivermaya with bamboo, alamid, siakol, queso etc.

baduy talaga ang 6 cycle mind, biruin mo yung lyrics nang kanta nila, konting alak lang kahit walang pulutan.. taena mas okey na wala kang pulutan basta madaming alak lol

yep, though marami pa din magagaling na banda ngayon pero nasa underground scene sila. at mejo nabawasan na ang 'pogi' rock ngayon dahil sa pagsulpot naman ng mas malalalang 'k-pop' lol

Cueshe, Hale, etc. Especially Hale. di mo alam kung sobrang lalim ba nung lyrics ng mga lecheng kanta nila o talagang walang sense.
considered din ba'ng band yung mga pesteng boyband gaya nung Chicser? ang sasarap pagbabatuhin ng hollowblocks

While I agree with most of the replies here - I'm not into "Pogi Rock" or K-Pop too - I think most of us are not answering the Topic Question.

However much most of us hate those bands already mentioned here, they have their own following, and wouldn't have stayed active for some years if they didn't connect with their intended audience.
Now, having said that, I'm glad that most of them are no longer around. :P :P :P

Ako personally, Im ok with bands targeting a specific market -- like michael learns to rock doing more ballads than rock, or Hale doing more pop fusion than alternative. Examples ko lang ito. Di kasi natin maialis yung economic factor kung bakit nila piniling maging baduy (sa panlasa ko ha, at sa marami pang iba) kesa magpaka astig sa rock music. Kung andon yung pera eh, wala tayo magawa -- kasi don sila kumikita.
Dream Theatre for example (fave band ko) was hard core prog-rock pioneer, and their first few albums were beast dahil sa hirap ng notations and insane speeds. Non times na yun halos mga rock and metal die hards lang ang nabili ng albums nila, not until they decided to put melodramatic tunes in their following songs, in fact may ballad silang binuo (I walked Beside You) noon -- all just to capture a wider target market.
Metallica also did some transformation as well as Avenged Sevenfold.
Ako kasi nagbabada din ako since HS ako, konting aral sa conservatory but I dropped out of it to work na din. So yung appreciation ko na lang today sa rock music is on the creativity ng bumubuo ng kanta. For one example is Sugar Free -- tremendous talent and song writing, to think na trio lang sila, pero kung papakingan mo ang binuo nilang kanta, iisipin mong 5-man band sila in both instruments and vocalization.
Sino pa ba? Kitchie Nadal's band is one. And Wolfgang ofcourse.
