MANILA, Philippines – An entertaining show.

This was how most netizens described the privilege speech of Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. on Monday, January 20.

Months after the pork barrel scam exploded, Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr finally took the Senate floor to address allegations linking him to the biggest corruption scandal that rocked the nation.

In his privilege speech, Revilla denied all allegations thrown at him. “For the record, I have nothing to do with this scam, Napoles and those whistleblowers.”

Revilla also disclosed how President Benigno Aquino III, Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas and Budget Secretary Florencio Abad used their power to convict former Chief Justice Renato Corona.

Rappler did a sentiment analysis of social media reactions to the speech. During the speech, the feedback was mostly negative because netizens didn't buy into the senator's arguments.

Walang cross examination sa privilege speech sa senado kaya puwede puwede ang showbiz drama. Sigurado matutunaw ang espada ni pandak, este panday pala, kapag na cross examine na siya sa actual hearing.
 :)) :)) :))

ganda ng pagkakagawa ng script may special participation pa "Nardong Putik" Ramon revilla sr. may pang best supporting actor scene pa si señor ramon.....

pero sa huli wala namang laman ang speech nya it only wasted almost 2hrs or the senate's time aksaya lang sa kuryente ang ginawa niya
