Turning ads into aid: one man's attempt to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan
If you were given $25,000 to make a promotional video for a major film studio, what would you do with it? This man bought food for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan

You could see this purely as a cynical ploy to promote a new Hollywood film through the power of viral advertising – it has the right ingredients.
Filmmaker Casey Neistat spent the $25,000 (£15,300) marketing budget he has been given by a major film studio to help people in the Philippines who have been left homeless by Typhoon Haiyan, which claimed 6,000 lives.
Watch the change in Casey when he starts handing out food and the looks on the faces of those he helps, and it might change your mind about what he was done.
My only wish is that he had been given a bigger budget.
