Title: Are you in favor of the RH Bill?
Post by: arthas™ on December 01, 2013, 05:39:49 PM
Let me start this thread. This has been a discussion for the past years, pero dito sa forum, I would like to know who are those in favor and those who are not. A poll was created for everyone to vote. Didn't put this to legal board as this is just to know everybody's opinion of this law.

I believe that women have the right to choose what they want to do with their bodies.

Thanks chief bohics. This topic is a combination of body talks, health and legal, usapang six or even spiritual, however I rather put it here as general for others to comment. As for my point of view, I am pro RH bill. Due to the current situation, people should know how to control and think of the risks before doing such things. Maging practical kumbaga. Though six should be a part of a married life, nowadays, even couples in a relationship consider this activity.

To some extent yeah sure, I guess. Basta no abortion na kagaya sa ibang parts ng US na people are doing left and right.

I'm also not too sure I would like the idea that the government would dictate to me kung ilan pwede ko maging anak, that is none of anyone's business but mine and anyone else who thinks otherwise can go dive off a cliff. I know what I'm doing.

Thank goodness I don't live in China, otherwise madami siguro ako anak all over the world.

Pero you know what I would appreciate? The OTC availability of a REAL morning after pill. That would be great.. Nay, that would be awesome.

Years back I would have the morning after pill shipped from my friends in the USA or relatives in Oz.  It would have prevented many unwanted pregnancies.

^ Exactly, and it would cost you an arm and a leg. This would make things so much easier man.

I wonder if kasama yan sa RH bill? Na maging prolific yan dito and OTC? Would anyone know?

Making it available OTC would be swell.  I have to give my daughters though.

Sheeeshh they grow so fast it seemed only yesterday I was giving them toys made by Mattel.

i'm pro RH bill.
besides the fact that it is better to have this bill than no bill at all regarding reproductive health, i also believe in the value of public information and access to contraceptives even to the grass roots level.
i would never oppose a law that educates our people and provides access to products and services even to the poorest of the poor.

otc contraceptive pills is a NO NO. kahit noong may POPCOM at FPOP pa sa pilipinas(family planning agencies na binuwag ni cory sa utos ng simbahan) ay mandatory ang check up bago pa bigyan ng libreng pills ang mga babae.

no abortion definitely

Exactly mate. Japan's workforce is aging rapidly, and medyo dwindling ang potential na papalit. This one of the reasons why a lot of the companies there are have looked into or are looking into robotics to somehow offset this dahil kulang.

I think China is also starting to loosen their one child policy. Correct me if I'm wrong, I think I've only heard the headline sa TV, one time in passing.

Anyway I think there must a careful balance. We cannot just say dahil madami tayo that's why our country is poor. This is a cop out and none of us should accept this explanation from the government.

In doing so, they are essentially shifting the blame on their citizens and not owning up to decades of their incompetence and corruption.

Sure information is good, dapat talaga ma-educate ang mga tao tungkol dito, not only for family planning but to curtail sixually transmitted diseases. Let's not forget, in some countries on the decline ang HIV while here it is on the rise.

I still think there is plenty for everyone, I will not accept the governments "palusot" na ang dami kasi natin kaya mahirap ang bansa natin.

Educate the masses, give them a choice and curtail potential diseases, pero don't wait for majority of us to die off para lang makita ang progress dito. None of us should accept that.

Lots of money are floating around, may naliligo pa yata sa bath tub ng pera and yet majority are in wretched state. Something is fundamentally wrong with our system, not just because of our ballooning numbers.
