Who will be the PBA's top overall pick this coming November 3, 2013 at Robinsons Midtown Manila?
Barangay Ginebra will take first crack at the rookie pool. This PBA draft is one of the deepest (in terms of talented players) in a long time. Another team to watch is Barako who has the 4th, 5th and 6th slots in the first round due to previous trades.

-
I'll go for Greg Slaughter kung ako sa Ginebra. Rare yung 7 footer sa league. What's annoying kasi sa iba they're already comparing GS to EJ Feihl.
Ginebra will have the tallest frontcourt in Aguilar and GS.

I agree with the above comments. May kinabukasan si Slaughter jan.

Indeed this is one of the deepest and tallest rookie draft class with 4 legit big men in Slaughter, Sanggalang, Almazan, & Holstein. Though Holstein is more of an outside shooter, he's a good shot blocker and low post defender.

As what I know, wala sa plans ni Parks mag PBA talaga. After the Sea Games, punta sya U.S. to train, maybe join the d-league and hopefully makapag laro sa NBA.

those who followed greg slaughter's college days may have been the ones that compared him to EJ fiehl back in the days kasi na dito pa siya sa cebu naglalaro sa uv green lancers he always have his as* kicked by junemar fajardo's UC webmasters na kakasimula palang mag basketball would you believe that it was fajardo's 2nd or 3rd year playing basketball and greg was already an established all star sa CESAFI

Hmmm interesting, so far sir McLovin, nag improve naman ba si GS under Coach Norman Black and even with Coach Boyet Fernandez (PBL Nlex Coach)? Haven't seen any vids ng playing niya during his time there in Cebu.

his team uv green lancers was very dominant in our local collegiate league here in cebu after the departure of their dominant center superstar JR "baby shaq" quiñahan siya naman ang pumalit naging dominanteng palyer rin siya pero nung na recruit naman ng uc si junemar nakahanap ito ng katapat at palaging natatalo siya sa one on one match up
nila fajardo didn't even paly for any varsity teams when he was in high school at walang formal training sa basketball growning up

-
greg slaughter na yan... to hard to pass that kind of a player as a no.1 pick...

-
I see, mukang malaki pa ma improve pag may mag guide kay GS, I think si Eric Menk ang magiging mentor nya if ever mapunta nga sya sa Ginebra.
:))
-
natural point guard ang position ni poligrates.... but he's built like a baron davis na malapad ang katawan sa tingin ko pwedeng² siyang ma convert into a combo gurad..... na headlines nga siya way back 2010 ata yun or 2011 nung harap-harapan siyang binatukan ng coach niya na si yayoy alcoseba dahil sa bad play sa PCCL qualifiers

The top 3 of this draft is solid: Slaughter, Sangalang, and Almazan, all legit big men. Slaughter should go #1, and I'm looking forward to his future games against his old rival Fajardo.

Draft Focus: Greg Slaughter will make Ginebra a contender once again
source: SlamOnline
Name: Greg Slaughter
School: Ateneo De Manila University
Instant Analysis: Greg Slaughter barely improved during his two years at The Ateneo (First year: 13.5 ppg/ 9.38 rpg/ 1.38 apg/ 1.94 bpg. Second year: 13.12 ppg/ 9.82 rpg/ 1.82 apg/ 2.82 bpg). He was never an excellent rebounder (didn’t lead the UAAP in that department) and he wasn’t as efficient on offense as you would like a seven-footer in the Philippines should be. That’s why it should be thrown out there that he does have a lower ceiling — in terms of potential and improvement — than fans expect. Coaches already know this but Ginebra fans might be forming irrational expectations on him already especially with how June Mar Fajardo is performing. There shouldn’t be much of a difference between rookie Greg and veteran Greg in terms of what he’ll be able to give Ginebra.
THAT BEING SAID, seven feet are seven feet. The Blue Eagles were far and away the best defensive team in the UAAP during Greg’s stay in Loyola and he will surely help big man-famined Ginebra in that department. You look at his block averages and you might say that they might not be impressive; that he should have averaged more. But those “low” averages were a function of teams not trying to attack the basket. Really, college teams were just shooting jumpers vs. Ateneo. If there’s something that Ginebra fans expect out of Slaughter, it’s that he’d be able to help them on defense immensely. And he will help them at their running game with his rebounding and shot-blocking and with all the long rebounds coming from jumpers that his presence will induce.
When Ginebra drafts Greg Slaughter, they will have someone that only Petron has. And that should be something.
Projection: FIRST OVERALL PICK
Best-case Scenario: 15 ppg/ 10 rpg/ 3 bpg
Worst-case Scenario: E.J. Feihl
