Hello NBA Fans, since the league is about to start, I wanna know your predictions on which team will be the division leader, and conference standings or your top 8 seeded team per conference for the upcoming 2013-2014 season. Also who will be your MVP, ROY, DPOY, and Coach of the Year.
for Reference
For my own Predictions:
Division Leaders:
Central : Chicago, Atlantic : Brooklyn, SE : Miami
NW : OKC, Pacific : LA Clippers, SW : San Antonio
Top 8 Seeded team per conference (not in particular order)
East : Bulls, Heat, Pacers, Nets, Knicks, Pistons, Raptors, Cavs
West : Spurs, Clippers, Thunder, Rockets, Warriors, Grizzlies, Timberwolves, Pelicans (TIGHT)
MVP : Kevin Durant
ROY : Victor Oladipo
DPOY : Joakim Noah (My preseason prediction).
For now it could be Roy Hibbert or Anthony Davis
Coach of the Year : Tom Thibodeau
-
We almost have the same prediction sa East. Sa West kasi gitgitan talaga. I see Chicago's will to get back on top with the return of Derrick Rose. Adding Brooklyn with the former Celtics Pierce, Garnett and Terry will become a threat to other teams as well. Therefore, here's my prediction:
Eastern Conference:
Atlantic - Brooklyn
Central - Chicago
South East - Miami
Western Conference:
North West - Oklahoma City
Pacific - LA Clippers*
South West - San Antonio
Sa Pacific, di ako sure, I could also see GSW as a strong team. Yung Lakers parang di ko na nakikita yung dati nilang lakas.
Di ko pa nakikita yung ibang teams sa games nila kaya wala pa ko mapredict sa lagay ng standings and sa ROY, DPOY or Coach of the Year, but I bet Derrick Rose for MVP.
-
Thank you sir sa insights.
Mataas yung chance ni D. Rose to bag another MVP trophy kasi he carried his team to the top of the standings for 2 seasons and if he avoids injury for this season. Pero when I saw some of the clips on the way he played, nakakatakot baka maside-line sya ng ilang games. Minsan nagkaka awkward landing sya :O

-
comeback player of the year: derrick rose!
Nice sir! Sana nga may award ang NBA na come back player of the year, magkakaroon nyan sila Grant Hill, MJ (wizards from retirement), Kobe at yung ibang nakarecover sa mga major injuries nila.
;D

Agree!
Sa ngayon sir 3 yung nakikita kong strong MVP candidates for this season
LBJ, Durant at Rose.
Kaya ko pinili si Durant kasi na-sidelined sa injury si Westbrook, so like D. Rose, assuming that Deng and Noah (currently) will be injured on some occasions, both of them will carry their respective teams for the season. Sa ngayon media's anticipating D. Rose if either naging rusty sya from his 1 season lay-off or his strong comeback from injury. So far sa pre-season like you said sir, ang agressive nya. Positive na he will start this season strong!
;D
-
oo nga eh, for me tama lang yung ginawa ni rose na ipagpaliban yung comeback niya last season. kahit na physically ready siya pero hindi pa siya mentally ready baka hindi bumalik yung laro niya at lalong maging prone uli sa injury. saka bata pa naman siya hindi niya kelangan magmadali. and madami din siya inimprove on his way to recovery, hindi siya nagpabaya sa health niya (hindi katulad ni bynum hahaha), improved his shooting etc. the way i see him play this preseason, this season would be great for him. for me definitely top 3 on mvp votings.
-
Agree rin ako sa top 3 candidates nyo for MVP. Si Durant malaki pa ang maiimprove this season.
-
comeback player of the year: derrick rose!
sad to say walang award ang NBA ng ganito.
-

ROY: Alex Len (Phoenix Suns)
Interesting choice sir for your ROY!
-
Miami Heat will 3-peat. 1k pesos on that.
-
not in particular order :
Eastern
Heat
Bulls
Knicks
Nets
Pacers
Piston ( w/ the addition of J-Smoove and Jennings )
Cavs ( if kyrie will be healthy this entire season and Bynum of course + 1st pick Bennet )
Celtics ( i think this team will get to post season but not too deep ! Maybe a 1st rounder should be enough for them , if rondo will be able to play this whole season , i believed he can lead them )
Teams to Watch out for :
Wizards - Wall ( again if healthy ! )
Bradley Bell ( great rookie last year )
Otto Porter ( great 3rd pick this year )
Bobcats - improving young guns Biyombo , Kemba , Henderson , Kidd-Gilchrist , plus the addition of Big Al (good job mj! ), and the solid 4th pick this year Cody Zeller . ( maybe this team will go to the playoff this year )
Western
OKC
Spurs
Memphis
LAC
GSW
MaVs
Houston
Lakers ( it depends on when will kobe play ) it think this team will still be dangerous , D12 smash the team chemistry last time and now he's gone , gasol will be the main man again in the middle .
Teams to Watch out for :
Portland T'Blazers
improving Batum and Lillard , plus the leadership of LaMarcus Aldridge and solid 10th pick C.J McCollum that can play either pg and sg .
Kings
It's all about their young fella DeMarcus Cousins , a solid inside man plus their prized rookie 7th pick Ben McLemore ( let's see if he live up to the expectation just like Oladipo of Orlando )
T'Wolves
Ricky Rubio
Kevin Love
Nikola Peković
Derrick Williams
Kevin Martin
a great but injured prone team tsk . Well let's see how far this team goes . . .
Pelicans
One of the youngest but great team in the League .
Key Additions: Jrue Holiday, PG ,Tyreke Evans, SG/
SF
And for my Division Leaders :
Nets , Bulls , Heat
OKC , LAC , Spurs/Houston will lead their divisions . . .
MVP : Cp3 / LBJ
ROY : Ben McLemore / Kelly Olynyk
DPOY : D-12
COY : Monty Williams / J-Kidd
-
Interesting choice sir for your ROY!
Suns traded their starting center Gortat to Washington for Okafor who has an unclear 2013-14 season due to injury. So Alex Len, the 5th overall pick from Ukraine eventually will be their starting center.

Well done sir with all your predictions swabeng swabe!
I also agree with CP03 as your MVP prediction. I remember his 3rd year in NBA, 2nd sya behind Kobe. We might see CP03 at his best especially with the arrival of Doc Rivers as their Head Coach.
Hopefully Timberwolves will avoid injuries this season, since I'm a Kevin Love fan din.
-
yup, sana nga hindi mainjured si love playoff team sila paghealthy yung roster nila. plus great fantasy player si love and he's on my team lol
-
basta healthy si Love, Rubio, Pekovic, Budinger & Martin (their projected starers) may chance na makapasok sa playoff ang T-Wolves. Hopefully, maka-around 70 games lang bawat isa sa kanila, malaking bentahe na.
-

So far wala pa sa starting line up si Alex Len and has yet to deliver for the suns. Miles Plumlee leads the front court for the suns with his double-double average.

galing sya sa injury but hopefully and gradually, mabibigyan sya playing time and let see what he can do.
Mike Plumlee delivered after Coach Hornacek gave him the nod to start at center averaging 15.5 ppg & 14.0 rpg after 2 games.

Though the season has just started and it's a long way to go to fill out the standings, things went out earlier as not the one that I'm expecting. The Bulls lost in their road games and only won once at home with just a floater of Rose securing their win. Muntikan pa sila dun kung pumasok yung last shot ni Carmelo. Didn't expect too that Love would perform that well. Malakas din simula ng Wolves and even Magic with Vucevic. Like what I've said malayo pa. Let's expect more unexpected things to happen.

Hot start nga yung Pacers e, mukang nabawasan din yung toughness ng Bulls this season, most probably dahil na rin sa bench players nila.
I get a feeling na si Anthony Davis yung isa sa mga early candidate for DPOY.

Yep. Si Angry Bird nag improved talaga. Sya rin bet ko for DPOY.

As long as Lebron's healthy, Miami is a team to beat. Kahit wala either si Wade or si Bosh, Miami is still winning because of Lebron.
