Tanong lang po kung ano ano po ung mga possible na trabaho ng mga computer engineers? sa semi conductor industry lang ba talaga?
-
Hi,
I outlined this in my thread http://www.pinoycyberkada.com/index.php?topic=32955.0 (http://www.pinoycyberkada.com/index.php?topic=32955.0)
Anyway you're either going to go the software track (IT industry) or hardware track (semiconductor industry).
-
I am currently working in a IT/telecom industry
-
mas madali po bang magwork sa IT kesa semiconductor? or same lng? kung sa IT diba parang support lang gagawin...
-
IT is not always about support. Where did you get that misconception?
IT can also be coding/programming, network and systems architecture, etc. All of which should have been covered by the curriculum.
As far as I know, there are many more IT-related jobs than there are semiconductor-related jobs in PH.
-
very well said boss zzgundam. actually madami na ding engineers ang nasa IT company,
-
i think there are other jobs specifically for computer engineers not limited to semiconductor only... mas marami kang mapupuntahan na work aside in semiconductor...
-
please consider the programming/software development field. there, the possibilities are endless, like be an software architect, QA tester, business analyst, project manager, etc. and the salary is quite good.

And when you get years and years of experience, you get into the IT Consulting Track.

Sir Bohica is correct. After you get years of experience, you no longer want to stay tied to a single company. Your time is valuable, and many companies want to hire you for short-term project to help them with their IT needs. When you get to this point, you're living the good life.

to the good life it is.. hahaha salamat po mga sir sa pag sagot.. graduate muna ako at magsisipag sa trabaho..~

ang Com Eng ay halos hybrid ng ECE at ComSci/IT kaya maaari kang mamangka sa dalawang ilong ng ECE careers at ComSci/IT careers.

Depende kung malaki ang ilong. LOL.
But you are right of course.
The same could be said for Electrical and Mechanical courses. A BSME graduate would only need a year or two to become a BSEE graduate.

Network side and server side maganda end game kita
