MANILA, Philippines – Does a diabetic need air-conditioning?

Well, alleged pork barrel queen Janet Lim-Napoles does, said the head of the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday, August 31.

In an interview with broadcaster Korina Sanchez on dzMM, PNP chief Alan Purisima on Friday confirmed that Napoles is detained in an air-conditioned office in the Makati City Jail.

“Opo, kasi medyo may sakit po siya. May diabetes,” Purisima said. (Yes, because she’s sick. She has diabetes.)

Poor signal interrupted the interview for a few seconds, and upon returning on air, the PNP chief further said: “ ‘Yun pong mga gamot po niya, doon po kasi ilalagay sa refrigerator.” (Her medications will be placed inside the refrigerator.)

Napoles was brought to the Makati City Jail late Thursday evening, August 29, and was detained in an air-conditioned office. Interior Secretary Mar Roxas said this is to ensure her security.

Napoles’ lawyer, Lorna Kapunan, on Thursday said her client is suffering from diabetes. In fact, a doctor accompanied policemen inside the Makati City Jail on Thursday.

Despite the air-conditioned detention facility, as well as her surrender to the President himself, the Palace has denied any special treatment for Napoles.

Napoles surrendered to President Benigno Aquino III on Wednesday night, August 28, after she was charged with serious illegal detention.

hmnn... parang pamilyar yung style niya sa nakaraang presidente ah, pati kay corona....something fishy.....anyway, kung talagang may sakit siya, ok lang naman yung basta ba na-verify kung totoo nga.... accuse pa lang naman siya..at hindi pa bumababa ang guilty verdict so she still have the way to do what she wishes that will not conflict the law.

Bbakit kailangan pa ng aircon diba? Hahaha may mga kilala akong diabetic pero di sila maarte kung may aircon o wala. Lahat naman ng accused dito sa Pilipinas kailangan ng wheel chair e. Hahahaha  ;D

eh pano ganyan ang sinasabi ng bulok na constitution ng pilipinas...pagsumablay nahuli sa pangugurakot, yan ang escape route ng public official..ang magsakit sakitan!  kahit ilang beses pa yan papalitan ang mga opisyales hanggat meron pondo meroon magnanakaw kasi mahirap iliquidate at lalo na imonitor ang pork barrel! kaya panahon na pra mag charter change! kung walang balak magcharter change ang pilinas sanay lalong malugmok lalong bumaba na lang ang halaga ng peso pra ang panalo ay ang mga ofw!

Actually pwede naman palabasin a walang aircon tapos pag wala na tao o.nalakakita lipat sya sa aircon, sa dami ng pera pwede nya ipayroll yung mga bantay nya , sa liit ng sahod ng bantay.malamang patusin, dpat sa ganito.lakihan ng sweldo ang bantay para di natutukso sa lagay
