MANILA, Philippines—Filipinos are using their creativity and the power of the Internet to express their outrage over the allegedly anomalous pork barrel fund.
From protest art to witty memes, they bank on both humor and rage to convince netizens to join Monday’s nationwide protest that aims to scrap the pork barrel fund.
“Abolish, not suspend!” and “Makibaka, wag magbaboy!” are just some of the tag lines being shared all over the cybersphere.
One group has even started its own “selfie protest campaign” by encouraging people to come up with their own personal protest photos.
One million people are expected to join Monday’s protest at Luneta. Dubbed the “Million People March,” people are expected to converge at the historic landmark for decentralized programs and a “massive picnic.”
Other converge points are:
Cebu – Fuente
Cagayan de Oro – Gaston Park, 2 p.m.
Davao – Rizal Park, 9 a.m.
Iloilo City – Museo Iloilo or Plaza Libertad
Dagupan – City Plaza
Baguio – People’s Park (Malcolm Square)

all i can do is just watch, and read updates......
i hope the congress and the senate and especially the palace will not turn deaf or blind eye during that protest.... kasi kaya maraming humahabol na opisyal is because of that privilege although hindi lahat but i assume more than half or perhaps more than what i could think of.
i support it....

Well PNOY moves to abolish PDAF, but instead he will rename it and change the procedures on how to get a public fund for their "future project".
Once Congress passes new legislation on public fund use, this 7-point system will also be in place to deter corruption:
1. Government projects will come from a "limited menu"
2. Consumable "soft projects" such as fertilizers, seedlings, medicine, medical kits, training materials, among others, that cannot be scrutinized properly are prohibited.
3. Temporary infrastructure projects such as dredging, desalting, or asphalt overlay projects are also not allowed
4. Public funds will no longer be diverted to non-government organizations and government-owned and controlled companies such as ZREC at NABCOR.
NOT entirely abolished :o

Kalokohan na iaabolish ang PDAF. PDAF is NOT a law. It is a provision in the Constitution. Pnoy is against charter change. So yung sinabi niya kahapon e binilog lang ang mga tao. Ang law can easily be repealed. Changing the constitution? Hahaha! Asa pa tayo.

Hahah according kay Mareng Winnie Monsod, gagayahin daw ni PNOY sistema ng U.S.A., na si Pnoy na yung hahawak sa PDAF at lalapit sa kanya yung mga may kailangan ng fund para sa "project" nila. So yung mga Tongressman at Senatong eh kailangan na nila bumili ng malaking STRAW! ;D palakasan na to! Yeaaaaa 8)

It's no longer a question of whether abolishing the PDAF or Pork Barrel is the right thing to do. BECAUSE IT IS! The big question now is whether Mr. President have the courage to do it or not? Meron ba syang lakas ng loob and willingness to sacrifice and cut ties with his allies and party mates specially sa mga affected ng COA report? Or will he just turn a blind-eye and allow those power-hungry, greed-motivated cohorts to continue such nasty traditions?
Oh well. I hope and pray that the "daang matuwid" will succeed.
