Most people know that it is much harder to learn something complex, such as a foreign language, when you are older. In your 20′s, you can pick things up easily but this ability declines with age.
the brain at workIs age-related cognitive ability inevitable? Unfortunately, the answer is yes. The physical structure of the brain as a whole also deteriorates with age. The loss of cellular integrity and impaired neuronal function literally makes the brain increasingly less efficient as we age.
Individuals who are in good health experience less cognitive degeneration than individuals in poor health but no one is immune to decreased brain functioning as they age. Maintaining a healthy diet which regulates blood sugar, keeping your blood pressure in check and not smoking will help reduce the loss of cognitive functions but everyone will experience memory loss and reducing problem solving abilities to some degree.
Reduced cognitive abilities are not necessarily a sign of Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. The reduced ability to learn and memorize things is merely a sign of aging.
There are many supplements marketed to people as a cure for age-related declining brain function. Most of these are a waste of money unless a person’ declining brain function is increased due to a lack of a necessary vitamin or mineral. Person’s who eat a healthy diet cannot gain any cognitive ability by taking a supplement.

Salamat po share.. indeed true na hindi talaga maiiwasan ang deterioration ng brain as we grow old. Need ng proper supplements at healthy life style.
