Women’s health is not a one-size-fits-all problem. Older women in low-income brackets who rely on government health services often get short-changed in favor of younger women who need an emphasis on maternity care.
Lower income women, especially if they have been in the lower income bracket for the majority of their lives, face unique health challenges. Poor nutrition, a lack of education, stress and lack of quality health care throughout life can have a profound effect on a woman’s well-being.
The lack of preventative care has the most profound effect on the health of lower income, older women. A diabetic, for example, may lack health education for diabetic patients, hence increasing her chances for complications.
Older widows may lack the support of children who must work all day or move away to an area where there is work. The inability to hire full-time help leaves many elderly widows fending for themselves. Without family or outside help, healthy meals rarely are prepared and the chances of a fall, which can lead to a broken hip, are increased.
Elderly women with chronic health problems often curtail their daily activities, leading to even more problems. There is little help with basic rehabilitation skills aimed at mobilizing elderly women for the low-income, thus increasing the chance that they will be soon residing in nursing facilities.

Malaki talaga ang pagkakaiba pag low income ka lang compare sa mga women na malaki income nila,.onething is pag low income work ng work and still cant afford to buy good healthy food at nde man lang makarelax ang life instead lageng stress at pag stress ka sabi nga nila madali kang magkawrinkles ,where as yong women na malaki income good living situations ay ofcourse makakabili sila ng good food for their good diet and for good health not much stress to deal with at more on relax lang sila....
