Age-related hearing loss is the most common type of hearing loss. By age 80, half of all persons will experience some degree of hearing loss due to age. The medical term for age-related, gradual hearing loss is Presbycusis.
Because the process of age-related hearing loss is gradual, and both ears are equally affected, people may not realize that their hearing is diminishing. Sounds often seem less clear and lower in volume and to people experiencing Presbycusis, it will sound like other people are mumbling.
Age-related hearing loss is most commonly caused by gradual changes in the inner ear. Avoiding loud noises (music, factory noises) by wearing earplugs will help slow he progression and intensity of age-related hearing loss but nothing will totally prevent this type of hearing loss.
Hearing aids and built-in telephone amplifiers can be used to help people with hearing loss. Sometimes, people with age-related hearing loss will read lips or use other visual clues to better help them understand conversations. Most older adults with hearing loss can benefit from using a hearing aid, although the degree of benefit may vary depending on their particular type of hearing loss.

nice to know ito sir, thanks for sharing. And also, yung madalas na paggamit ng earphone tapos malakas ang tunog is not really good kasi it increases the chance the masira kaagad ang ating pandinig....
