White to move, mate in 3
white po ang unang tira, at mate ang black in 3 moves.

sir zzgundam, naging 2 moves na lang ito, dati ay 3 moves pa, now 2 moves na lang siguro ay mas madali ito !

The reason for that move is that White's board is already set up for an optimal mating strategy. There is no need to disturb the harmony of the pieces; only the King should move. (a-c)5 is invalid and, a5 is not a good move (black queen can kill the rook and make a check), (b-c)7 and c6 are inefficient (similar reason to a5).

what if the queen DIDNT eat the ROOK(Queen F5 to F1) instead ,moving the Black Horse H8 to F7, "no Mate" in two moves

we are talking of two moves mate here.....remember human mind is not as fluent as computer mind or vice versa

Incorrect. Suboptimal solution for black if the Black Queen didn't eat the White Rook.
If he does that, pawn will just move e6 to e7 and mate all the same.

In chess puzzle/problem, all possible legal moves are legit.

*all this puzzles are my own compilation of games na actual na inilatag ng kapatid ng aking classmate sa Sta Cruz, Manila.his name is Carding. ang pwesto niya ay sa harap mismo ng Sta Cruz church sa Sta Cruz, Manila. sila yung mga nagpapa puzzle doon sa sta cruz na may pusta. 200 pesos ang ibinibigay nila sa pulis doon to let them do ng kanilang hanapbuhay. i am a student then sa PMI.

you cannot find all this game sa internet. i still have more of this kind of puzzle sa aking lumang lumang maliit na note book, which i still kept bcoz i trully love the game of chess.
